- GoldEdition, on 04/11/2009, -1/+12Excellent! Thanks for this! I needed this since I love using paper in web design...
- bigbangbuddha, on 04/12/2009, -0/+5Its not that use of real world elements isn't creative, in fact these sights look better than most. The real problem is its not always clear in these what you can click on and what is just for looks. This tends to be the biggest dillema, inteface should be clear and understandable at first glance. But art on the other hand is better if it draws the eye around allowing for exploration and discovery. Imagine if Google did this to their front page, or if an informational site like the MLS tried to get creative. Some of the best looking sites are the most useless, my point is be purposeful about form vs function.
- vishnumittal, on 04/11/2009, -1/+5Beautiful Designs!
- annjay, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3This is another beautiful and new trend to use paper in web design and when the usage is correct it really looks good. These web designs are the examples of good paper style web design.
- xCIone, on 04/15/2009, -1/+4Inspiring :)nice designs
- DouglasQ, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3Scissors in web designs are better
- D3koy, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3there is no paper in that web design...I'm not sure you know what you're talking about...
- DOORWAY123, on 04/12/2009, -0/+2these are all amazing, i can't wait to start building pages that look more like this, than html
- ivan423, on 04/12/2009, -1/+3I like paper. I like how magazines and books smell.
- inactive, on 04/11/2009, -1/+2Love it!
- RadiatedAnt, on 04/12/2009, -1/+2http://www.afrotechmods.com/ best of the lot
- adamcoomes, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Please consider the environment before printing this website.
- TrevorPace, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1All these designs are good...but does anyone else think they all look the same?
- kpasc, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1I'm sick of seeing so many lame graphic or web design articles... they're just as bad as the "home decoration" articles that pretend to be about interior design...
BURY - Depthfunction, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Using paper? For writing? No way!
- aprocter, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1As a web designer, I think the paper thing has run its course. My own site uses paper as a design element, but anything I've done recently has avoided the trend.
- cbruscato, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1This really reinforces to me how much it's needed that in CSS4 and HTML5 we have some sort of way to embed fonts into web pages without forcing the end user to install them. Did you notice that almost every site is having to use heavy graphics to render their fonts? We stopped caring about this because of increasing broadband adoption. Eventually this is going to become a problem again, as we target the bandwidth more for streaming HD Content, than for our background images.
- uncoolcentral, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1I did something more understated with paper at the top of http://www.uncoolcentral.com/
</horn toot> - Qenton, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Wow... Brings back (bad) memories of Frontpage.
- qeek, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1And who says that paper is dead?
- imagesplace, on 07/04/2009, -0/+0what do you mean by this?
http://www.design2work.net - 1bestblogs, on 04/16/2009, -0/+0Love the crinkly, wrink;y paper effects...nice work lad!
- garlicdeath, on 04/12/2009, -0/+0Probably one of the few diggers who ever admitted to looking at interior design submissions.
- gatorsactions, on 04/15/2009, -0/+0Paper for the web. How warm and personal.
- SmartestDigger, on 04/11/2009, -14/+1Nice designs.
Here's one I like... partly for the paper, partly for the content.
