- pezholio, on 09/08/2008, -2/+31Web safe colours? Is that the sound of barrel-scraping I hear there? I thought they went out with IE4! Some pretty useful sheets there, but a hell of a lot of crap too...
- MrSarcasm, on 09/08/2008, -3/+25WOULD USE AGAIN A++++++++
- GenghisRon, on 09/08/2008, -4/+17This story hit the front page just in time for use in my Web Design class
- Myholyleg, on 09/08/2008, -3/+15http://www.visibone.com/font/fcht_874.gif a bit low-res, eh?
- inactive, on 09/08/2008, -1/+13Wow! I am sure i will be back to pick up a few of these.
- norbiu, on 09/08/2008, -0/+10So does that make you a pessimist?
- cloud4197, on 09/08/2008, -2/+10Are 'websafe' colour charts really that relevant in today's day and age? All colours can generate a hex number now.
- brettgian, on 09/08/2008, -1/+9But it is useful for web designer.
- jeeky, on 09/08/2008, -1/+8They're cheat sheets, not tutorials, you idiot.

- iseth, on 09/08/2008, -0/+6Visibone makes great printed materials. This was meant as a sample. The real thing is nice and easy to read. I'm surprised that the article didn't really give much credit to the maker. That hex mousepad is also from Visibone.
- MtheoryX, on 09/08/2008, -0/+6You're doing it wrong.
- lordsteve, on 09/08/2008, -0/+5Yeah, but they should.
:: scowl:: - wendeldiggs, on 09/08/2008, -0/+5Fewer. Thank you. Dugg.
- WoollyMittens, on 09/08/2008, -5/+10We need a cheat-sheet for the ***** lasso tool?
- ieatpizza, on 09/08/2008, -0/+5just right cl...... oh ***** sorry =/

Agreed, a joomla cheat sheet would be nice, but you've identified your next blog post I guess? - Gumby_Mac, on 09/08/2008, -0/+4Make sure you have a move or marquee tool selected, hold down shift and press the "+" or "-" keys next to the backspace key. I believe that's it. I love doing that, but I hate how it eats up your history states.
- nekaidesigns, on 09/08/2008, -0/+4You can also hold shift+option and hit corresponding letters - m for multiply, d for dodge, etc - to go directly to blending modes without cycling through them.
- OwdenBowden, on 09/08/2008, -0/+4Would be nice if they had other CMS sheets - like Joomla!
- inactive, on 09/08/2008, -0/+4I just select the layer, then the blend mode drop down twice (the actual word, not just the little drop down arrow) so that it's selected and then cycle through using the up arrow or down arrow keys.
If there's a quicker way than that, I don't know it. - LongShlong, on 09/08/2008, -1/+5... Someone's got OCD.
- inactive, on 09/08/2008, -0/+3Would protect these in the shower!!!
- Lynxist, on 09/08/2008, -0/+3Common fonts to all versions of Windows & Mac equivalents is definitely my fav, a very hand reference sheet indeed. The colour value mouse pad is pretty nifty as well.
- spectre_25gt, on 09/08/2008, -0/+3I hope no-one goes by that Unit/Dimension cheat sheet. EMs and % are relative... they can't be converted so simply. 1em is essentially equal to the font size you're using (Technically, the width of a capital M). Make your font size 12pt and .5ems is equal to 6pt. Make your font size 24pt and .5em is now equal to 12pt.
Points to pixels are a little bit closer, but it could be off depending upon how your DPI is set. On a 72dpi system (Mac standard) 6pt should equal 6px. On a 96dpi system (Windows standard) 6pt equals 8px. God knows what will happen when resolution independence takes off. - piradians, on 09/08/2008, -2/+5http://google.com
- AyaJulia, on 09/08/2008, -0/+2That's the point; it shows you what the dithering will look like on a monitor that belongs to some moron who doesn't know how to take his video settings out of 256-color mode. Colors that aren't web-safe don't dither half as neatly.
- TimeIsTissue, on 09/08/2008, -0/+2That how to use a lasso cheat sheet saved my life.
- lendrick, on 09/08/2008, -0/+2And by a lot of people, you mean the tiny fraction of people who for whatever reason still run in 256-color mode? Honestly, rather than having a page look crappy for everyone, I'd rather have it look good for 99% of users and crappier for the other 1%.
- MacBookForMe, on 09/08/2008, -5/+7They made a deal.
- Demener, on 09/08/2008, -0/+2In Soviet Russia sheet cheats you?
hmmmm - jggube, on 09/08/2008, -0/+2No, probably not.
- SoopaflySAM, on 09/09/2008, -0/+2I already know all of this.
- doublefelix, on 09/08/2008, -0/+2I have the newest browsers (and more importantly a somewhat modern monitor) and the 'web safe colors' palette they picked is pixelated as hell.
- thosiris, on 09/08/2008, -0/+2Awesome. Definitely keeping that bookmarked and tucked away for safe keeping.
- Iluvator, on 09/08/2008, -3/+5Damn, good pick, digg. I'm a developer, but web design is my hobby - I love it, but I don't do it enough to remember a lot of this stuff every time I go to use it, so I waste a lot of time googling. Some of these are kinda useless (ie, basic html tag sheet), as was pointed out, but there are about half a dozen I plan to print out, and another dozen that are getting bookmarked.
- daridave, on 09/08/2008, -1/+3Usually I call these "references" , but... anyway.. I guess if it makes it sound cooler, go for it ...
- t2t2, on 09/08/2008, -0/+1Joomla pfft....
(Ok, won't go into CMS fights, but CMSMS still better) - junkwheel, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1I want a cheat sheet for finding my way through cheat sheet collections. 28? What are you? Head of Everything?
- jdelator, on 09/08/2008, -0/+1if they had adobe stuff, why not jquery, mootols, etc?
- remccain, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Learned something new. Thanks!
- OwdenBowden, on 09/10/2008, -0/+1Always looking for a template cheat sheet but was really adding Joomla as a subject so that all cheat sheets can be placed in one spot.
- nubnub, on 09/08/2008, -2/+3Really not useful...
- kevisazombie, on 09/09/2008, -1/+2Where my web safe color list at?
- yomimedia, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1This is a cool cheat sheet. Will copy and laminate. Thanks for sharing.
