- seantubridy, on 04/11/2009, -4/+925 sources for ripping off someone else's logo. Let's just be honest about it.
- norbiu, on 04/11/2009, -2/+6Another spam comment! Buried!
- WhoDoneIt, on 04/11/2009, -2/+5You mustn't be a designer then. These resources are a great way to replenish your inspiration and I don't mean ripping someone else's logo off.
- jabela, on 04/11/2009, -0/+3I just hope people remember that when designing logos its a good idea to think about what it might look like in 1 colour print...Too many people forget and it costs them a fortune in printing costs for one thing and another....
- gorgalor, on 04/11/2009, -1/+3The infamous Jon Engle story wrapup:
http://www.thelogofactory.com/logo_blog/index.php/ ... - gorgalor, on 04/11/2009, -0/+1What would Jon Engle do with these sites?
http://www.thelogofactory.com/logo_blog/index.php/ ... - thagrad, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1awesome post I really needed some inspiration and this post helped a lot. great work !
- talonh, on 04/11/2009, -0/+1Yeah but most people reply with the reply button.
- CuedUp, on 04/11/2009, -2/+3Study the greats of the past, like Paul Rand and Herb Lubalin. Draw by hand incessantly. Read Doyald Young's "The Art of the Letter" for a better understanding of how to approach the fundamentals.
Then roll your own. Don't go to LogoPond and IncSpring and rip something off.
/rant. - gmeierotto, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Niiice, just bookmarked it.
- kikolani, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1I think inspiration is really meant to show you all of the elements: color combinations, shapes, fonts, etc. It gives you ideas of where you could go if you use your imagination. It's called inspiration, not use these. If people were being honest, they wouldn't even think to copy someone else's design.
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -0/+1don't think it's about ripping off anyone's logo. this could work as inspiration, at least for those who are creative enough. ;)
- GroundIsSound, on 04/15/2009, -0/+1very useful. logo design is on the to-do list.
- kanningt, on 04/11/2009, -1/+2Buried for poor grammar & uninspiring links
- >mark, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1hardly a wrap-up though.
- dainix, on 04/11/2009, -4/+4Yeah, but most people like exactly this type of articles.
Seantubridy I cannot agree with You, inspiration is something else..it's all about seeing some great ideas..and understand that way of thinking to create own unique stuff. - kmb1794, on 04/11/2009, -2/+2That's what I was thinking. When I think logo design inspiration I don't think of the work of other logo artists, I think pictures of anything besides logos: nature, museums, history books, sci-fi movies...reality tv.
- sudhiru, on 04/11/2009, -2/+2Nice resources for Logo Inspiration
- etx313, on 04/11/2009, -3/+2Logopong is a good site, I check it once and a while just to see some good work. I don't design logos, it's too much bs and red tape.
