- dcbebop, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1While I agree that most of these should be labeled "WTF?" some of them are kinda close to what was delivered. #17s interface is kinda on point. #22 was on the right track with the form factor. #16 had the full screen interface. Most of these were kinda on the right direction given the fact that they most likely didn't have any insight into the actual product. Shows the consistency that apple tends to deliver.

- cave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Do you have one? If you don't you really should find a way to try it out for a few days. You'll be surprised at how you'll get used to the feedback-less interface. At least thats what happened to me. Now when i go back to a regular keypad it feels weird because i actually have to apply pressure to push the button. The iPhone works like a touchpad on a laptop. Unlike a regular touch screen, it detects body heat/electricity instead of pressure. So you barely have to press on the screen for the tap to be registered, it's surprisingly comfortable to use.

Instead they wait for their devote fanboy followers to get bored and create mock-ups of hypothetical new products. Apple then pulls the best ones, tweaks them a bit, and bases their new products off of them. What better way to get free design work and appease the fanboys all at once?
