- icexe, on 06/21/2009, -1/+5I think textures are sometimes too much of a good thing. I've noticed in too many cases the design is so stunning that they draw the user's attention away from the actual content, which is why I'm still a fan of cleaner, simpler designs.

- dafragsta, on 06/21/2009, -1/+2I have ALWAYS been a fan of textured design, but it is surprisingly hard to sell to clients. They think it looks dirty. I personally like it when design aesthetics take on an almost tangible look. I like designs I feel like I could imagine touching.

It makes their web site look amateurishly dumb for an article giving advice on how to do background textures.
