- DreKor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18that, now threadbare, joke rarely works as well as it does here.
- noodlez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10well, yeah. its a russian webpage/contest. i'm sure it gets much more attention/publicity in the motherland.

Looks like Cisco is giving the double finger. - The_Wallbanger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Looks like Russia represented well.
- Boondoggle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Yes, nice theory. Eventually dogs will lie down with cats, everyone will become expert in Gentoo Linux, and we call all live happily together in a nice tech workers paradise creating free software for nobody to buy.
Until then, cool logos / brand identity are relatively cheap, very effective and worth every penny spent on them, and keep the poor misguided artists busy and from stealing cigarettes.
/sarcasm - pheedback, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Is it me or does the Cisco logo look like it is two hands flipping people off.
...Wow didnt see Shosterman's comment digg me down - Topher06, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Cisco's logo looks more like "My First Router" by Fisher Price.
- floppyparty, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7The judges are obviously biased
- strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Ok, some of these winning logos really sucked.
- runpete, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Was I the only one who thought the first logo said "F.U." not "F.C."?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Domo is such a rip of AT&T.
- RoboPimp3000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3runpete - I thought that too. That "1st place" logo is actually an example of BAD design. The "FC" looks like "FU". Even apart from what "FU" means in English, it confuses the viewer about the name of the very company they're trying to brand.
Most of the others are similarly bad. - DreKor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3it's not the simpson. no it isn't. stop thinking that.
- mopostal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+390% of these are terrible. They break all the rules of proper logo design. One of those rules is very evident in the logos that are scaled down pretty small—all the details are lost. Simplicity is key to a successful logo, something that seems to be lost on just about every modern logo i've seen in the past 5 years.
- triforcer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i don't think there will be that much confusing because the form of a C is very distinct from a U and just seeing like that on its side, it's obviously a C and i even have difficulty seeing it as a U. the design is very good in my opinion, simple and visually clever with making it look like a spray bottle.
- ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The 2 are good, AT&T rip-off sucks.
- devoinregress, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I am not terribly impressed. the Radiocom logo sucks. Some of the stuff is excellent. A lot of it is not terribly impressive. S lot of these are not activating the negitive space well enough and do not work in B+W.
Paul Rand, now there was an amazing logo designer. - oxyrubber, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2please actually check duggmirror before posting the link. Kthx

seems to be working, the page loads not sure about pictures. - strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2for the Cisco logo I see the golden gate bridge... as was intended (at least I assume that's what they were go for)
San FranCisco - speedfoot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3wow..what bias...
- duster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the logo for elenov (L4, 2nd place) is one of the nicest logos I've ever seen
- grazny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The Soviets rigged the whole contest.. Romania should've been number one...
- bbrad2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1great stuff here, inspiring design
- blflm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1need more design like this on digg, not the millions of pages of web design (Zzz)

No, the key to a successful logo, is being on a Russian company :-) - whackjob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the Litepost logo is the best:
http://www.litepost.com - badnewsblair, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Oh goodness. I just had a design orgasm. Take a look at some of those identity packages at the bottom. Amazing work. Thanks for the link.
- Violentsa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Well russia took the cake.. hell they took the entire bakery.. but check out romania... REPRESENTIN, SON!
- zclip, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1proof ??? i don't think i've ever met anyone who thought that language had ANYTHING to do with design, particularly the iconic kind.
there were 2 or 3 logos that shouldn't be near that list. most of the other stuff was top notch though. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Projects dealing with identify are the most frustrating and hardest of all my graphic design courses.
This was great to see! - defectDS, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I really like the updated Chevron logo.
http://www.chevron.com/news/media/images/logo_chevron_300dpi.jpg - letdowntourist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1really cool. proof that great design transcends language barriers.
