Back in my day geeks didn't care what the walls looked like as long as they had a computer, science equipment, or whatever their geeky hobby required. It seems that as "geeky" became trendy, "trendy" became geeky, which I don't think is right.
If you've never been to a Star Trek, Star Wars, X-Files, or other sci-fi convention and haven't seriously considered dressing as one of the characters so you would fit in at the convention, you are probably not a geek. Not really "wallpaper" per se, but they make some cool vinyl graphics for your walls. They even have a set of threadless designs and whatnot.
