- drstock, on 04/16/2009, -1/+71Patrick Bateman does not approve.
- Quicksdraw, on 04/16/2009, -1/+46I think I could get a better idea of how good these cards are if the photographer weren't trying so hard to impress me.
- Spawn2105, on 04/16/2009, -0/+30Your business card is crap!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YBxeDN4tbk - thetayloreffect, on 04/16/2009, -0/+29That's bone... and the lettering is something called Silian Rail
- inactive, on 04/17/2009, -1/+27How are these minimal? Engravings and other decorations are not minimal.
- dylio, on 04/16/2009, -0/+25Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark!
- Rmo4, on 04/16/2009, -0/+17Minimal? Have you ever seen a standard business card?
- z0zin, on 04/16/2009, -2/+18Sure they're nice, but has anyone considered the cost? The colored, embossed, etc. business cards probably run $1-2 each.
- pixelguru, on 04/17/2009, -0/+14I once saw a business card designed for a mechanic which was a plain white card with his contact info printed in simple black type. On each side of the card was a printed thumb print which convincingly looked like the plain card had been handled by someone with grease on their hands.
- surfacewound, on 04/16/2009, -2/+16Sorry it was inevitable:

You're gonna pay that much for quality paper embossed printing and I don't even wanna know how much that die-cast costs, yet you chose Bank Gothic as a font? - migvel, on 04/17/2009, -0/+9so... how i am supposed to admire all those "beautifully minimal business cards" if all the photos are taken from "cool" angles that shows half of a word, half cards or even some letters only?
It's too difficult to take a pic of the whole card so it can be viewable? - ShihJhit, on 04/17/2009, -1/+9<insert American Psycho quote here>
- dankindcom, on 04/17/2009, -0/+8I can't believe Brice prefers Van Patten's comment over mine...
- Sabin, on 04/17/2009, -0/+7Some of them are nice and very creative but most of them are anything but minimalist. Embossing, spot varnish and foil stamping all scream excessive to anyone who knows print design. Some of these designs are as "loud" as a rainbow gradient splashed across the background. You want minimalism try flat black ink on a smooth white stock and use typography effectively.
- matt.rubin, on 04/17/2009, -2/+8Still like this one
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ranh/106709219/ - alexchemistry, on 04/17/2009, -0/+6yeah some of them are over embellished.
- Julian88888888, on 04/16/2009, -0/+5very nice
- MaxPowers, on 04/16/2009, -0/+5You make life miserably predictable.
- 2of8, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4I agree. If I could see a front and a back picture, that would be a good way of showing it. Some of these photos only show one side. Awful. Trying too hard.
- SigmaEcho, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4I guess diggers are really impressed with etched specialty paper.
- flidge, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4without doubt the next nostradamus
- rypic7, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4Very cool, Bateman.
- GalacticRerun, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3I tried but it wouldn't let me edit your comment.
- batkins, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3Paul Allen has mistaken me for this ***** Marcus Halberstram. It seems logical because Marcus also works at P&P and in fact does the same exact thing I do and he also has a penchant for Valentino suits and Oliver Peoples glasses. Marcus and I even go to the same barber, although I have a slightly better haircut.
- BenTheTank, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3My company wouldn't let me put a robot on my business card. :(
- thegrantman, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3A Psycho?
- danhauk, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3If it's going to make an impression and get you more work than the guy with the boring business card, it's worth the extra money.
- 2of8, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2Haha that's hilarious. Good comedian.
- enantiodromia, on 04/17/2009, -1/+3anyone else feel weird when they realized Albie from Big Love is in the business card scene from American Psycho?
"What's a matter, Batemen? You're trembling..." - matt.rubin, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2***** this business card doesn't fit in my pocket..........
meh I don't want to carry this
meh there's a trash can
Business card ------> Trash - michael0310, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2You don't have to be a money-grubbing, soulless corporate drone to think a business card is beautiful.
Granted, none of these really stood out to me, there is such a thing as beautiful business cards.
Hence, http://dzineblog.com/2008/06/cool-business-card-3. ... - nsharp1861, on 04/17/2009, -1/+3Queue a *****-ton of American Psycho references. Oh wow, you guys are so cool for drawing the connection!!
- Skibadoweebop, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2I have to return some video tapes
- inactive, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2Dugg for proper spelling of queue.
- aserer511, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2This is a given. These cards are for the elite who have high value clients
- jpbreeder, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2I see your point, try doing any of these business cards with a $200 budget and then i'll be impressed.
- orion2ktc, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2I was just about to say that I prefer Mitnick's card.
- jpbreeder, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2These are business cards with an unlimited budget, try doing one of these for less than $200.
- AtWorkSurfer, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2I'm sure the people that ordered them considered the cost.
- TwizzleNicole, on 08/04/2009, -0/+1I don't have any buisness cards either - but my sister does and she got to have a say in what hers looked liked. She works for a graphics company so she really went to town on the colours and design and they look really cool.
- neeks, on 09/11/2009, -0/+1http://print100.com/
These arent exactly fancy. I use this printer all the, low prices, amazing quality. Generally cost a whole lot cheaper then even getting cheap, 2 color paper cards printed at Staples or Kinkos. There is no reason why one has to spend a lot for nice cards, all it takes is a little research. - TetchyTony, on 04/17/2009, -0/+1I put all cards through a scanner in the evening. Most of those would be very irritating. Cutesie doesn't impress in real business.
- fierylungs, on 04/23/2009, -0/+1You've got a lot to learn about the business card business kid.
- danhauk, on 04/17/2009, -0/+1You could most likely get at _least_ one of these for less than $200 :)
- jpbreeder, on 09/11/2009, -0/+1Wow, thanks for the info. I'm in NYC and often need help with freelance gigs that I can't get to. If interested lets talk!
- 7aji, on 04/17/2009, -0/+1Some of these look pretty cool, but some look more like a tag on a new shirt :\
- decker12, on 04/17/2009, -0/+1Now if only the photos just showed me the front and back of the card instead of this fuzzy depth of field *****.
- MtheoryX, on 04/18/2009, -0/+1I think I'm in love.
