Now half of us are gonna turn into giant snails.
The other half will build their houses together into a giant spiral.
And we're all gonna end up falling into hell.
What a perfect way to kick off the week. - Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Better yet, stories should be mirrored once they reach the "whats hot" list in the upcoming diggs section.
- iamafatguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"My new hypothesis: If we're built from Spirals while living in a giant Spiral, then is it possible that everything we put our hands to is infused with the Spiral? "
- Philluminati, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3same here. there should be a "Go to Mirror" link somewhere on pages so we can quickly go to the digg mirror for it and not have to wait for people to post.
- TheKingOfHell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Damn! you beat me to the Uzumaki reference!
Guro, guro, guro, guro, guro, guro, guro.... - ACalcutt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Google cache: http://www.google.com/search?hs=sUq&hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&q=cache%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fspiral.gallery.sytes.org%2F&btnG=Search
- ShBm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There are a few Greasemonkey scripts to do that. Duggmirror didn't catch it anyway.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3digg is a ***** virus, crashes so many sites
- lukee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The spiraling shape will make you go insane.
- gropo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I find your hypothesis very salient and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
- ahawks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well, I don't know about "ooh pretty" but the first 2 bits of the title "150 Photos" does pretty much say pictures, yeah.

- edg3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2As far as I can tell, from viewing the source on the only page that loaded, the photos are all on Flickr... so maybe some of the groups ( http://www.flickr.com/groups/spiral/ // http://www.flickr.com/groups/stairwayspiral/ ) should be enough to look at unless you want to wait for this to load.
- Antha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm kind of surprised the Spiral Jetty wasn't included in that. Of course, it's rare to actually see a good picture of it.

Damn - several people beat me to it.
What a creepy movie! - HesComing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is it bad that after watching that movie I kinda felt like climbing into my washing machine just to see what would happen?
In case anyone is wondering, it's not "Uzumaki Naruto" the anime character, but a trippy J-Horro movie:

- Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Well, I came in too late to see the images, but if the spirals are "snail-like" they are called Golden Spirals (Look is up, and look up golden section and golden rectangle while you are at it)
As for occurences in nature:
-Golden spirals apear on the shells of snails
-The seeds of a pine cone sprout out aranged in a Golden Spiral fashion
-Many galaxies follow the golden spiral shape
Those were just a few, many more occurences appear with the Golden Rectangle (which is the foundation for the golden spiral)
Like how the extents of the measurements of a human torso forms a golden rectangle
Many architects like ancient greeks based the shapes and sizes of their buildings on the golden rectangle
more recent architects like "le corbusier" based their projects on the golden rectangle
His two most notable projects were "Le Modulor" and "Villa Savoye" (im not sure if thats the spelling, though) - nutcase, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1http://www.duggmirror.com

And shouldnt it be at the beginning of the title? - DiscoLando, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1So is this another viability test of people buying Digg votes?
- tpaine, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1sorry for the comment abuse, but google cache has the thumbnails at least
