http://digg.com/design/10_More_Pieces_of_Clever_Tr ... - S68x, on 07/14/2008, -1/+26"Hey man, I like your new house...but...where's all the furniture? And the rest of your stuff?"
"In that little green box." - AmyVernon, on 07/14/2008, -3/+16the most amazing thing about this is that some of the stuff is actually attractive i swear, web urbanist is becoming my favorite site ever...
- qetuo, on 07/14/2008, -3/+11Yes i thought that too. You're right people shouldn't be down modding you.
- webkami, on 07/14/2008, -2/+9Good that it is on one page.
- etnuts, on 07/14/2008, -2/+9Where can i buy one?
- zadadka, on 07/14/2008, -1/+8This is the transforming box you need....tell me you can't find an occasion for it ! :)

(Girlies are permitted to say "EEeeeeuuuwwwww!!!") - hoodmonkey, on 07/14/2008, -1/+7Hmm.. More than meets the eye! I can imagine this sort of concept being used on space flights or in combat.. an entire medial unit stuffed inside a backpack.
- thelif, on 07/14/2008, -1/+7What if I stack my furniture too well and a row of them disappear on me..
- megamod, on 07/14/2008, -0/+5"What? no way"
"Wanna bet?" - inactive, on 07/14/2008, -0/+5I actually own a sofa that transforms into a bed. I did not know it was that technically advanced.
- mlbwebdesign, on 07/14/2008, -1/+6Lemme guess....the Swedish?
- inactive, on 07/14/2008, -6/+11Agreed. Buried for duplicate story.
- leerayIG88, on 07/14/2008, -1/+5Transforming Furniture...more than meets the eye?
- borez, on 07/14/2008, -1/+5I like these expanding yacht tables, the design is amazing:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mKEOYfYQO08 - suxmonkey, on 07/14/2008, -0/+4Hmm, the Digg system let me sub the URL ... *shrug*
- mlbwebdesign, on 07/14/2008, -0/+4Furniture in disguise!
- mentor972, on 07/14/2008, -2/+5BECAUSE IT'S THE SAME EXACT ARTICLE ON THE FRONT PAGE AGAIN, JACKASS!
I hate Digg noobs!
It's not that the story is 139 days old, it's that it was already submitted, idiot.
Some douche submitted the same link, it told him it was a dupe, and he submitted anyway. The first one had 2000+ Diggs, that's why. - abarysh2, on 07/14/2008, -0/+3Suddenly I have an urge to play tetris...
- ZenLa, on 07/14/2008, -0/+3And knowing is half the battle!
What, wrong show? - bjs3171, on 07/14/2008, -0/+2there's plenty of bare wood furniture out there. folding chairs aren't supposed to be the most comfortable things ever, they're just supposed to provide seating quickly. that said, those are some pretty damn pricey folding chairs.
- bjs3171, on 07/14/2008, -0/+2about the folding chair that unfolds into that wall-hanging...it DOES make a nice wall-hanging-as-art, but if you hung them on a long hook, this would be a very legitimate way to just store the chairs. normal folding chairs tend to just take up floor space in a coat closet. flat on the wall, tough, might be much more efficient. and these are damn nice.
- qwertycopter, on 07/14/2008, -0/+2Casulo (room-in-a-box) is not available on the market; it's still a prototype. Their website says they're talking to manufacturers and distributors:
http://mein-casulo.de/en/casulo.htm
Also from the website, the prototype is 375lbs but they expect the production model to be 330lbs and you can choose different colors. I'd like to know what material it's made from.. looks like particle board from the photos. Makes me wonder if it would really stand up to regular use.
Also, I bet the price will be high, especially if they're shipping overseas. - salamnder, on 07/14/2008, -1/+2I like the idea... I don't like any of the furniture. When they make something for my eye, I would give it a serious thought.
- saltydawkins, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1It's recently made it into my top ten as well.
- jiiimmyw, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1Regarding the table and chairs (7th one down), it is a very nice design and idea, but they are incredibly uncomfortable. I'd rather sit on the floor and look at it.
- iambagels, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1agreed. i want those decorative wood panels that turn into chairs
- mst3kcrow, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1I think some of these designs need to go back to the drawing board. The strictly wooden furniture without padding looks uncomfortable but that could be fixed by changing the dimensions a little to add padding. The stove top inside of a chair is not very thought out, I share a house with 4 other guys and I know how dirty that can get, let alone flipping it upside down.
- elementop, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1I've seen plain wood furniture that was incredibly comfortable because the designer knew enough to shape the furniture to match the contours of the human body. A plain wood chair with a gentle s-curve on the seat and back is far more comfortable than a padded chair made with a perfectly straight seat and back. Also, adjusting the back to the proper angle goes a long ways towards making furniture comfortable.
- UnixSkunk, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1I love seeing this kind of art/furniture. But why is it nobody ever shows a link to where to BUY it? Does any of it ever actually get mass produced? Or are they just one-off concept pieces?
- dracostimpy, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1So you're saying this is totally original, you swear?
- bjs3171, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1even the modular couch?
- mk3k, on 07/14/2008, -1/+2Sweet Jesus will someone put something new on Digg?
- bjs3171, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1http://www.studiodror.com/shop/bbb_emmebonacina.ht ...
- ajocksch, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1I was thinking the same thing, but some of that stuff isn't for the small-of-wallet. Those chairs that turn into wall art? $1600+. http://www.studiodror.com/shop/index_pick_chair.ht ...
- theadvinci, on 08/11/2008, -0/+1I liked the blue sofa-chair. Brilliant and beautiful.
- mentor972, on 07/14/2008, -1/+2I'm just gonna make a new account name and re-post old front page stories over and over again.
- qwertycopter, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1I like the idea of the minimalist bed. This product is questionable as of yet. Who here has a minimalist bed and could explain their setup?
- steelystan, on 07/14/2008, -1/+1This was on Digg something like 7 months ago.. how is this (more)?
- mst3kcrow, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1How about furniture that doesn't cost as much as tuition or a used car?
- dracostimpy, on 07/14/2008, -2/+2I think the most amazing thing is that web urbanist has been blogspamming digg quite successfully for several months now, to the point that even duplicate submissions (of worthless ***** no one over age 8 would ever want to own) like this hit frontpage in a couple hours' time. Buried as dupe/spam/lame.
- mrro, on 07/14/2008, -1/+1That is some of the most uncomfortable-looking furniture I've ever seen.
- jhoogy, on 07/15/2008, -1/+1Old story, but still an interesting product.
- getrealnow, on 07/14/2008, -6/+6Why should a story get buried for being 139 days old? Its a couple of months old, and I an average digg user has not seen this story yet? If it gets dugg, then let it be. I would understand if there were 2 Iphone stories about a reporting being a jackass, then thats when the buried dupe button would make sense. This doesn't.
- bautbr, on 07/14/2008, -1/+1Talk about being in a "hot seat". A chair that turns into a stove might be a stretch, but some of it would be great for a studio apartment or college dorm room.
- mapls, on 03/06/2009, -0/+0Those must be quite expensive. It' s better to buy a new, bigger house.
