- Zippo, on 06/25/2009, -0/+3Nothing worse than asking the client for their logo... and getting a web-sized JPEG or GIF sent back to you.
- gakkan, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1Don't forget to avoid those lens flares.

"Trends (whether swooshes, glows or bevels) come and go and ultimately turn into cliches. A well-designed logo should be timeless, and this can be achieved by ignoring the latest design tricks and gimmicks."
I'm looking at you Pepsi and your other brands like Gatorade and Tropicana. - tehjabba, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1These rules aren't meant as a guide for massive globally recognised brands with the marketing muscle of god.
- Whitecoolie, on 06/25/2009, -1/+2Good tips, I'll be sure to stay away from them.
- KSUdesigner, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1Correction: Do not get an UNPAID internship from Ed Hardy (or anywhere else for that matter).
While it was a pretty big douche-move by Ed Hardy, that guy never should have taken an unpaid internship to begin with. Unpaid internships are a huge scam to get free work. If you're considering taking an unpaid internship, don't even think about it, turn it down. It's not worth your time to do all that work for free with no guarantee of getting a full-time position afterward.
If an internship is required for your college courses make sure you take one that is paid, at least minimum wage. If you just want an internship for the sake of getting a start in the field, and it's not required for college credit, you're better off contacting non-profit organizations and offering your services for free or a minimal charge. Doing free work for a non-profit is NOT the same as taking on an unpaid internship. - gamerbambi, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1Rule #1... Do not get an internship from Ed Hardy
