Second: to answer your question, wordpress blogs seem to have a hard time handling the high volume of traffic that digg brings, and usually its database gets overloaded by the time the article hits the front page of Digg. If this happens, you can look in the comments to see if anyone has posted a link to a mirror... usually someone does. - smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8some are so-so, some are great. overall, a pretty nice collection. i'm a graphic designer so i tend to enjoy designing my own templates and layouts, but i love these compiled lists because they give me inspiration for new designs. i try to be original and i've been doing graphic design and web development for about 6-7 years now, but some of these guys are twice my age and have been doing graphic design for 12+ years and are simply remarkable.

The themes were collected over a long period of time, for every new theme I'd make a quick screenshot using a Photoshop automated script and then upload it to my server. It was a way of keeping track of some of the themes I would use for other projects, it was also a way as you say of drawing traffic, not for google ads, but you know as well as I do that traffic = currency and whether you like it or not just surfing the Internet you are contributing to the rate of that currency.
