- MorpheousMarty, on 07/20/2009, -0/+55Bittorrent is handling the unpredictable transfer speeds of several internet connections, and there is just no way you can predict it accurately. The ETA is a courtesy to give you an idea of when it *may* be done. When I'm making a copy of a file from a hard drive to the same drive, unless I'm doing something cpu/memory intensive it should be as predictable as it gets. The ETA should not be misleading in any way, and be accurate to within, say 10%.
In all fairness Vista/Windows 7 works much better, and there are a lot of factors that effect copy speeds, but I should still never get a message that is off by an order of magnitude. Not a big deal, but it is distracting. - LordStryker, on 07/20/2009, -2/+56pee
