At first, it felt like a horrible heroin addiction eating at me, trying to find any sort of excuse to go online. I needed a fix but I had to remain strong. Over time, it blossomed into more free time, less crap to buy, fewer worries, and a more social me. Sadly, I once again became addicted the moment I returned to the computer to check Woot.com.

Unless I'm out with friends, or out with my girlfriend, my evenings are generally spent endlessly surfing the same web pages over and over or playing video games. I often think "I should do something more productive" and I turn off the computer - but what the hell else do you do? Read a book? Do some housework?
I've made my situation even worse by buying an iPhone - now I have my email and reasonable mobile internet with me wherever I am. At least before I had to be at the computer to do this stuff - now I can get my fix WHENEVER I need it.
