- ScottMitchell, on 01/08/2009, -0/+22What we need is a Cathy minus Cathy strip.
- eclipsefire, on 01/08/2009, -2/+24Garfield is funny like Family Circus is clever.
- monkeybones22, on 01/08/2009, -0/+22this one made me laugh:

- hagfish70, on 01/08/2009, -0/+17Of course he approved, that guy will do anything for a buck. He's no Bill Waterson, that's for sure.
- AyaJulia, on 01/08/2009, -0/+17Well, it's not like the guy picked one at random. This was today's.

- IndianXC, on 01/08/2009, -0/+15Digg memes? No
- bermudianguy, on 01/08/2009, -0/+14"One of Walsh's occasional readers is Davis, who heard about the site a few months ago. The cartoonist calls the work "an inspired thing to do" and wishes to thank Walsh for enabling him to see another side of "Garfield." "

- redsoxmb545, on 01/08/2009, -0/+13With the title of "Yo Cat" I would kinda expect your comment to be in the description.
- onimusha115, on 01/08/2009, -1/+14I can see why Jim Davis is ok with the website, and I give him respect for that. He could have easily had a lawyer take that site offline overnight. What I don't understand is how the creator of the website can come out with a book, I should hope that Jim Davis is getting a cut of the profits on that.
- Ziggy7273, on 01/08/2009, -0/+13Jim Davis seems to think it's funny...
- whiledo, on 03/25/2009, -0/+12Notice the book is "by Jim Davis", even though it contains the exact strips posted on the G-G website (read the Amazon info). The real question is if Walsh gets anything other than "not sued".
- GabeDiaz, on 01/08/2009, -5/+16Garfiled > Heathcliff
- RadiatedAnt, on 01/08/2009, -0/+11that 4chan meme was so 2008
- fuzzynyanko, on 01/08/2009, -0/+11I just clicked on the "Garfield minus Garfield" book link and was thinking "copyright infringement", but seems like Jim Davis helped publish it!
- bearcat8543, on 01/08/2009, -2/+12GOD DAMN LOCH NESS MONSTER!
- Alias1431, on 01/08/2009, -2/+12http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/post/65355159
- InfiniteNothing, on 01/08/2009, -1/+11That's the point.
- xchrisxsays, on 01/08/2009, -3/+13God, what have I done... My hands are unpure with the stains of a terrible and unwarranted "your mom" joke. Where did I go wrong? I have never been one to steer down the path of jokes of such nature. Maybe I need to sit down and take a long look at myself and what is becoming of me. I couldn't bear myself if I was THAT guy. And yet the self satisfaction I felt when making the comment... I feel so dirty... I can't live this way! Goodbye fair world!
- DustyMagnum, on 01/08/2009, -2/+11Out of spite of your opinion.
- whiledo, on 03/25/2009, -0/+9Not really. From Amazon:
"Davis not only didn't sue him but approved of the project. This collection of the best de-Garfielded strips prints Walsh's altered cartoons next to Davis's originals; Davis even throws in a couple dozen Garfield-minus-Garfield strips he's done himself. Interestingly, Davis's stabs at the concept are mostly just gags about Garfield's owner, Jon Arbuckle. The gist of Walsh's approach, on the other hand, is to completely alter Davis's jokes"
It has Jim Davis' name as the author because Walsh had zero bargaining position. - grantmoore3d, on 01/08/2009, -1/+10Wow, Jon is quite a depressing character...
- redsoxmb545, on 01/08/2009, -0/+9You win 3 internets.
- kouchan21, on 01/08/2009, -0/+9this one works well
http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/post/69159474 - RobotKeaton, on 01/08/2009, -2/+10Garfiled?
- dok333, on 01/08/2009, -0/+8Digg is more of a censored version of 4chan, a version you can look at to see some generally funny ***** without worrying you are going to get caught by your gf, family member, or boss and be thought of as a child porn advocate or simply a sick person in general
- alperea, on 01/08/2009, -0/+7People read Family Circus for the same reason they look at at pile of poop. They notice it in the corner of their eye, they pretend to not notice it, but it's still there glaring in their peripheral vision. After a few minutes of burning away in their peripheral vision, they give in and look into it directly. The poo always wins.
- mastaphoo, on 01/08/2009, -0/+7You totally missed the point of it
