- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+71I reject your reality and substitute my own.
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -13/+56And yet another XKCD comic. Without even reading it, I know this'll be on the front page.
- bonk2k, on 11/26/2008, -2/+32No, PORN is porn for geeks.
- Sublex, on 11/26/2008, -1/+30I knew xkcd was working for Mythbusters...
- JPOnion, on 11/26/2008, -0/+23If they can't replicate the myth, they'll replicate the results!
- solarweasel, on 11/26/2008, -1/+21faraday would digg this...
- jessi3k3, on 11/26/2008, -2/+21Next week on Mythbusters, Adam and Jamie build their own particle collider to test the myth: Does a high speed collision cause a black hole? Tune in next time on Mythbusters.
- ivencente, on 11/26/2008, -3/+21another non-disappoint. break in the middle of my otherwise hum drum day.
- hamobu, on 11/26/2008, -9/+21Whow, comic mentions Solar flare, magnetic inductance and myth busters. I know what they are talking about therefore this is incredibly funny. HAHAHAHA!
Lame jokes on esoteric subjects rule! - polishlanman, on 11/26/2008, -0/+10What happens if LHC test is "confirmed" ?
I don't think we'd see that one... - frostw, on 11/26/2008, -0/+9Faraday, back in your cage!
- ChemicalWarfare, on 11/26/2008, -3/+11dugg for mythbusters!
- deviouskoopa, on 11/26/2008, -0/+7That would seriously make my day... I might even digg it... nah never mind, I don't think I could ever do that.
- dcoxen, on 11/26/2008, -0/+7Myth busted!
http://xkcd.com/432/ - Dromeciomimus, on 11/26/2008, -0/+7I sometimes wish I could wear no pants to my chemistry labs too. :'(
- SyntraFTW, on 11/26/2008, -4/+10Damn Randall for making good comics!
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -1/+7I'm just waiting for Randall to make a comic about digg.
- Lhandroval, on 11/26/2008, -3/+8Wow, Existentialist is really gullible.
- Rikushix, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5True enough, I stand corrected.
- hamobu, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5Not only do I know what they are talking about, I know what kind of person you are. You are a pompous nerd. You are a kind of person that got a slightly higher grades than your peers, and now you stoke your ego by showing how smart you are, and telling other people that they are dumb. You are the kind of person that gives us nerds a bad name.
- bonk2k, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5Dugg for commitment to a joke.
- nshady, on 11/26/2008, -2/+7Lost is back in fifty-six days!
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -2/+7i like the part about the science
- Bic823, on 11/26/2008, -1/+6dugg in a heartbeat for faraday.
- hamobu, on 11/26/2008, -1/+6One hour and 22 minutes after submission, and only 66 diggs. Still not front page.
- deviouskoopa, on 11/26/2008, -1/+5People are so dumb they'll digg a comic that they read regularly... some things in life can't be answered, not even by Mythbusters.
- tallguyg, on 11/26/2008, -0/+4I do all my own stunts.
- AzureRise, on 11/26/2008, -1/+5Your point? Night and day matter not to a geek. Also, could've see it earlier and dugg it now.
- adverpart, on 11/26/2008, -0/+4In most cultures, people are referred to by names. You can read more about the practice here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Name - xz9925, on 11/26/2008, -0/+4if ya DONT like XKCD stop ***** reading them! hows that?
you whinners are like the lil kid who sticks his finger in the light socket getting zapped each time crys and does it again - bigthecat, on 11/26/2008, -1/+4It reminded me of the BOFH a fair bit
- Kakumeikeahi, on 11/26/2008, -0/+3Quiet, it's just a excuse to have another explosion on mythbusters!
...perhaps i've said too much. - owenblacker, on 11/26/2008, -1/+4XKCD *and* MythBusters, all in one tidy package. Awesome!
- Kakumeikeahi, on 11/26/2008, -0/+3You must be psychic!
- cheesejaguar, on 11/26/2008, -1/+4You guys, read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page. Basically if aren't / haven't been an engineering student at a university, you will never truly get this comic.
"Warning: this comic occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors)." - Kakumeikeahi, on 11/26/2008, -0/+3dugg for digging for mythbusters.
..
..
I love you - ParanoydAndroid, on 11/26/2008, -1/+4@dnasty
You do know that the whole point of the comic was that everything he was saying was a lie, right? '
If you didn't know that then the entire last panel made no sense to you, since the last panel referenced the fact that he was lying just to get mythbusters to try it.
If you did know that, then you also know your explanation was unecessary ... - RyanDFA, on 11/26/2008, -1/+4I'm an electrical engineer and I didn't even chuckle at this, so for all the people saying "STFU learn some physics", STFU.
- OneNaturalOne, on 11/26/2008, -3/+6i didn't even chuckle
- cloudberries, on 11/26/2008, -1/+4Good lord! It's a comic with some introductory text, a premise, a conclusion and some other elements. HAHAHAA!!!!!
- CaptOblivious, on 11/26/2008, -0/+3Hmm,
I smell a causeality loop. - pjsk8, on 11/26/2008, -0/+3I'm sure we'd see it coming for an eternity.
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -2/+4Man, I love having every XKCD comic on digg's front page. Normally I'd go to digg, then XKCD, but over the last few months, I kill two birds with one stone! :D
- dnasty27, on 11/26/2008, -2/+4False, solar flares don't cause a magnetic field to bend. Even if they did it wouldn't stay bent. God I love physics!
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+2What? Another one? By golly...
- Trax91, on 11/26/2008, -0/+2You are so off my friends list!
- shibagarden, on 11/26/2008, -0/+2Without reading it, you'll also know it will be lame.
- pjsk8, on 11/26/2008, -0/+2Does this mean I have to make Timmy Neusbaum cry?
- verkon, on 11/26/2008, -1/+3Why do you call him by his first name? Is it because you know him or that you just want to point out that you know what his real name is?
