- sfhock, on 01/31/2009, -2/+81I can empathize.. I always get "busted" by my buds when they call and I'm watching HGTV.. then again, how do they know what I'm watching... unless they're watching it too!!!
- honeybrass, on 01/31/2009, -4/+67But Princess Bride is a really good movie.
- Vosem, on 01/31/2009, -1/+58I do not think that means what you think it means.
- sockpuppets, on 01/31/2009, -11/+65Princess Bride is one of the most awesome movies of all time. Not only do I have no issue declaring that, but I will fight to the death anyone digging me down.
- EmperorChow, on 01/31/2009, -6/+46Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

- sockpuppets, on 01/31/2009, -1/+26I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
- Suricou, on 01/31/2009, -1/+25It's on cracked.com. That's all it needs. Cracked has a loyal following of diggers who will eagerly digg anything hosted on that site.
Actually, it's on daisyowl.com. Cracked just has a copy. Notice that the cracked copy is (once again) the one to reach the front page, while the comic's own site is ignored. - WibWobble, on 02/02/2009, -1/+23Cracked servers crashing? ***** THE WORLD IS GONNA END
- Volatile36, on 01/31/2009, -0/+21I just refuse to answer the phone.
- elemmeno, on 01/31/2009, -0/+13To the death? No. To the pain.
- sarixe, on 01/31/2009, -0/+12"cracked copy"
- diskit, on 01/31/2009, -3/+15 This comic was funnier when I read it off the original website. Somehow ending up on cracked.com took the humor out of it.
- palehorse864, on 01/31/2009, -1/+11Iocaine taste off at 3 paces!
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/31/2009, -13/+22***** you Cracked, the Princess Bride is awesome.

- styx31989, on 02/01/2009, -1/+10apparently people didn't understand what I was going for. This is where others repeatedly type the same thing, then somebody would break in with "STOP SAYING THAT!"
It would have been the perfect qoute, but alas, it has failed *hangs head in shame*... - mauso, on 02/01/2009, -0/+8Looks like their servers finally Cracked under pressure.

A bear and a rabbit are both taking a ***** in the woods next to each other. The bear turns to the rabbit and says,"Hey, does the ***** stick to your fur?" and the rabbit responds with pride,"Nope!" The bear then grabs the rabbit and wipes his ass with him. - TheMidnight, on 02/01/2009, -0/+6http://www.instantcaruso.com
- Koushiro, on 01/31/2009, -0/+6The Princess Bride rules!
- rjhomuth, on 01/31/2009, -4/+10I'm disappointed in you, Digg. Have we really gotten to the point where we'll let anything with the Cracked label make it to the front page, even if it's as bland and uninteresting as this?
- darlingt, on 01/31/2009, -0/+6Inconceivable!
- m3arvk, on 01/31/2009, -0/+6Friends so great you can't even be honest about what movie you're watching. Yes, that's what I took away from it, now ***** off.
- No1nose, on 01/31/2009, -0/+6A few more steps and we'll be safe in the fire-swamp.
- turny27, on 02/01/2009, -1/+6Inigo Montoya said it in Princess Bride. Follow up was from Westley...not sure about the joke though.
- diemunkiesdie, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5If you can still edit, you can also click that little red text on the right of your edit comment box that says "Delete". No need to tell people to bury you, just delete the offending comment!
- Azerael, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
- gregsamsa222, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5Doesn't the presence of Andre the Giant automatically slide it into the 'guy' movie column?
- darlingt, on 01/31/2009, -0/+4Human being?
- MrSchler, on 01/31/2009, -2/+6wow a link to the internet of the 90's
- MrSchler, on 01/31/2009, -0/+4errr now that it loads that comment makes no sense
- GeyserShitdick, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4Ha! A famous quote from the film referenced in the comic! Genius!
- mauso, on 02/01/2009, -1/+5I agree.
The Cracked website has a much 'bigger' feel than a blog or a hand-crafted website. When a dude posts his own content it can be quirky, silly, subtle, outrageous or just mildly amusing. But when you take a single strip out of the series and place it on a Cracked page, with the logo and surrounded by advertisements, the context is radically different. Your expectations are naturally heightened, and you expect something which fits the Cracked mould: outrageous and immediately funny. Any quirkiness, subtlety or plain cuteness seems to evaporate.
It's the reason a rickroll is funny in a Youtube window, and unfunny on national television.
I found xkcd similar: When I followed the digg links, too often I thought "what on earth?". Then I read the series from the start (or just in random order), got the feel of the comic, and fell in love with it.
I could tell you Arrested Development is one of the funniest comedies I've ever seen, but if you only watched an isolated episode halfway into its run, you might think "What is this? It is amusing, but... wait, what? Why is he dancing like a chicken? Huh?". Then you watch it from the start and everything just clicks.
The only White Ninja I've ever seen is on Cracked, and it makes me want to shoot myself. I'm sure if I went to the website and followed it for a while, I would thoroughly enjoy it. Probably. Possibly.
That's my defense of Daisy Owl. If you've only seen it on Cracked, try reading it at www.daisyowl.com - the archives aren't too big yet. It can be viewed in a sitting or two, and most people will find it rewarding. - theragu40, on 02/01/2009, -3/+6You can't both be inigo montoya.
- RobotKeaton, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3Pretty much. In fact, any movie that doesn't feature a professional wrestler is essentially a chick flick.
- TequilaCollins, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3I was so going to make some cool quote of the movie, but I've been well beaten to it.
Great movie. Besides, it's got fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles... - SceptreData, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
