Now that we have them and know them they should just make a movie with a good story. If you want to introduce even MORE characters... make a TV series for HBO or Showtime that is full of "single issue" stories. Then if audiences like the characters... make a movie featuring them.

Figuring a way to bring in Forge and Cable would be excellent as well. We also need the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse to be the baddies in this one and which ever lineup they use must include Holocaust.

Cannonball, Dazzler, and Northstar would be excellent choice for exactly the reasons they mentioned in the article. I'm not familiar with Pixie (I haven't read comics in at least 10 years now) and Xorn. Those two don't sound quite right to me. I'm sure they could make a couple other choices.

It would be nice if they just retold the ending of X3 using the whole teamwork idea that they established with wolverine at the beginning of the movie but conveniently forgot halfway through. He pretty much went it alone at the end. Show teh ending and then have a voice over or something say "But that's not quite how it happened" or something to that effect, then go on with how it should have ended.
Have rogue with the group against Phoenix, nobody can get close as in X3. Wolverine is about to do what he did in X3 when someone reminds him of the need for teamwork as they did in the beginning of that film. Rogue takes his powers and then walks toward Jean. Rather than kill Jean off though as Wolverine did, Rogue grabs her and begins draining the phoenix's powers.
Phoenix is disabled, but that much power makes rogue super strong and able to fly (As she became after draining Ms. Marvel). For the next film we have all the cast, Rogue has the powers fans have been begging the directors for since the first film ended, but that she never got, and - Impressa, on 12/01/2008, -1/+5YOU ***** SPAMMER HOPE YOU DIE IN HELL!!

But, knowing how these things tend to work, my guess is they'll shoehorn in more marketable characters and make it some awful teen drama. I have high hopes for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but X-Men 3 was really pretty terrible. - TheShom, on 12/01/2008, -0/+3My Opinion?

When he became Death during the recent horseman storyline along with Sunfire, that there was what he needed.

Such a blatant retcon is almost unheard of in movies, but it would be the best way to undo the nonsense of X3, especially the end that violated what the beginning of the movie and the rest of the film series had established.

They should really focus on the social problems mutants face. Have Wolverine, Beast, Kitty Pride, Ice Man, Rogue, Storm and NOBODY ELSE. They can fight for justice blah blah blah.

Directors are basically GIVEN a script to write...I don't get why its so hard to follow a comic book that is already written. My biggest problems with the X-men trilogy: *spoilers
- Xavier / Jean / Cyclops / Sabretooth / Toad die
- Rogue sucks
- Halle Berry sucks
- All those stupid meta-mutants (like the stupid biotch who could 'detect' strong mutants? or the homosexually dressed Avalanche?)
- Colossus gets no screen time
- Nightcrawler wasn't in the 3rd
- Mystique turned on Magneto
- Stupid rendition of Juggernaut
- Where was Gambit? Jubille?
- I could keep going on, but I don't feel like it...
