  • RishiBoy, on 03/27/2009, -21/+62Actually I've been using dvorak for some 5-6 weeks - more as an experiment than anything else - but now I cant go back to qwerty. Dvorak feels *far* more comfortable and natural. With the most common letters on your strongest fingers it just makes so much more sense. I'd recommend giving it a shot, even if its just to try something new.

  • Jektal, on 03/27/2009, -0/+15Well, you can remap the control keys from WASD to whatever the hell they'd be in Dvorak.

    For me, it's your second reason. For awhile I was using one of those "natural" split keyboards at work, and took to it just fine. No real learning curve or anything, but it felt weird switching back to a normal keyboard. So I ditched it so I would be comfortable with the rest of the world's keyboards.

    Seriously tho, I have no interest on dvorak because I don't type that that much, and I like to be able to sit down in front of any old keyboard and feel moderately comfortable.

    Maybe if I was a writer or something I'd give it a try, or if everyone else switched first. :) As it is, I've never even seen a dvorak keyboard, although it's probably as easy as popping some keys off and rearranging them .
