- TheAkolyte, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Is it me or does this look like a poorly executed 80s rock music video
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It's like watching an Advil commercial!
- weisen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If you enjoy such stuff, check this out: http://aimediaserver.com/studiodaily/videoplayer/?src=harvard/harvard.swf&width=640&height=520
or Google "Harvard XVIVO video" - Dested, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I think that after it hits a day or so there is some kind of "Higher power" that decides if it should actually be on the front page. None the less, this was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
- Hemingrubbish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3the system works
- sally00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I wish they'd finish the many processes that were shown.
- samoht625, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It looks a lot like House imo
- chedderfiend, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Maybe you can make cool 3D renderings of people, grass, and spaceships. Maybe they are good. Hell, maybe they'll be used in some B movie.
The thing about this that makes it cool is that it is scientifically accurate AND badass 3d rendering. Sure, maybe the "calmodulin" looks like its texture is wacky.. but thats because its a friggin' protein. ie: you can't see it, its made out of precise foldings of polypeptide chains.
So maybe you can design a tree in flash or 3d studio max, and maybe you can't. But you don't have a degree in science fueling your art. You said yourself, you are "not a medical animator". The fact that this stuff is trying to convey scientific explainations of the natural world is what makes this cool. - underrun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think they're running a business...maybe there is something you can give them and in exchange, they will show you the processes.
- vetindo, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1just another medical shot from flickr photos:

In my opinion, these are the places that are doing the best work. Forgive the bias, I've been working in medical illustrator and 3D animator for 11 years. - MasterOReality, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nucleus Medical Art has an opening for a 3D animator, if you're interested:

Digg should have some kind of super digg button that's worth a whole bunch of diggs, but can only be pressed once a day or something. While I am on the topic of improvements...Digg's comment system should run our political voting system as well. - Mongoose, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Gotta love transcription and translation.
- Zybergod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Maybe you should do an animation of you looking like a pompous ass.
- cdinic, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3This is weak work. I've been working professionally as a 3D animator for 7 years. I've seen much better work than this. I've done better work my self and I'm not a medical animator. Generally mediocre.
- Conquerist, on 10/12/2007, -9/+117 diggs and frontpage?
