- xenos23, on 10/20/2009, -4/+125What about "Daria?" It had some of the sharpest writing going.
- imalebowski, on 10/20/2009, -6/+115dugg for mission hill.
but.....no love for home movies? coach mcguirk should be infinitely more famous than he is, he is significantly funnier than peter griffin and i honestly think he gives homer, even in his prime, a run for his money.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF4FGHflvHQ - Kireblade, on 10/20/2009, -1/+78The Critic is to film dorks what Futurama is to science nerds. :-)
- bastardx, on 10/20/2009, -1/+77Duckman still rules.
- Awwzm, on 10/20/2009, -16/+80Metalocalypse is coming back on November 8 with 30 minute episodes! k,k,k,yeeyuh.
- SketchaMPM, on 10/20/2009, -3/+57Agreed, Daria is a grossly underrated series.
- rocknog, on 10/20/2009, -5/+49I can't believe that guy dissed Clerks 2.. Aside from that, it was a great list.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/20/2009, -1/+40Mission Hill, Clone High, Clerks, TV Funhouse...you're making me sad that they were all short lived!
- absurdist, on 10/20/2009, -1/+40RIP Jay Sherman. Funniest character Jon Lovitz ever did.
- AngryDeuce, on 10/20/2009, -4/+39I used to love Dr. Katz back in the day...wow I can't believe how long ago that was on.
- damnshoes, on 10/20/2009, -1/+34I like it how Beavis and Butthead call her diarrhea.
- snareguy17, on 10/20/2009, -1/+34RIP Mitch.
- joshness, on 10/20/2009, -1/+34They didn't mention my favorite adult themed cartoon, Undergrads. It's a cartoon about four college undergrads experiencing the college life. The characters were great generalizations of the different college students. You had everyday student Nitz, Fratboy Rocko, Stoner Cal, and Geek Gimpy. That is not to mention the other great characters they introduced like the RA. If it wasn't for the horrible timeslot that MTV put it in (8:00PM on Sunday, which is the Simpson's timeslot) it would have most likely been a succesful show.
I know the show gained some attention on Teletoon and Comedy central. However, despite the email campaign done by fans, nothing ever really panned out. - Stryke, on 10/20/2009, -0/+30Holy *****, dugg for Duckman. Completely forgot about that show, I loved it so much.
- kestermatsumoto, on 10/20/2009, -4/+32Don't know if it counts, but what about The Tick?
- Halsfield, on 10/21/2009, -0/+27clerks 2 was hardly the cult classic that clerks 1 is, but it wasn't a bad movie compared to the host of other bad movies being released as "comedy" today.
- plainOldFool, on 10/20/2009, -0/+26Kind of why I'm a fan of both, i guess.
- awinters, on 10/20/2009, -2/+25Yes, Daria had great sarcasm and flat humor.
- missjames, on 10/20/2009, -2/+25man i love so many of these shows -- my fiance and i were reminiscing about the critic just the other day.
- Velocity14, on 10/20/2009, -3/+24Clone High! I'm glad other people enjoyed this short-lived series. It had a lot of potential, it just wasn't well fit for the MTV crowd, in my opinion.
- MCA2142, on 10/20/2009, -0/+20Anyone remember, "God the Devil, and Bob?"
- Eupatorus, on 10/20/2009, -1/+21All of Jon Lovitz's characters are funny. He is very underrated in my book.
- s73v3r, on 10/20/2009, -0/+19That show was great. Somedays I have dreams that MTV will get past their current phase of featuring spoiled OC girls all day, and go back to some of their classic cartoons. They had some of the best animated shows back in the late 90s/early 2000s.
- thickape, on 10/20/2009, -1/+20Daria
- electricwaffles, on 10/20/2009, -1/+18Ohhhh yeah!
- AngryDeuce, on 10/20/2009, -3/+20Really? I thought it was actually pretty good, plus Rosario Dawson is ridiculously hot...
- dystra, on 10/21/2009, -0/+17"Buy my book."
- dweeb79, on 10/20/2009, -7/+23I wish Strooker and Hoop would return.
- junaeroplane, on 10/20/2009, -0/+16sounds like the best day in television programming
- Mezz43, on 10/20/2009, -1/+17SPOON!!!
- Wosat, on 10/20/2009, -0/+15Dugg for The Critic and Dr Katz.
Does anyone remember a cartoon called Bob and Margaret? I used to watch that show. It had a great intro. - imikedaman, on 10/20/2009, -1/+16I know the article is suggesting that Lois and Meg look like the wife and daughter from "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home", but I can't be the only one who looks at this picture and sees Shaggy, Scooby, Daphne, and Velma:

Also a tiny John Lennon. - zephc, on 10/20/2009, -0/+15Umm, Venture Brothers is still on the air, and far from forgotten
- zip000, on 10/21/2009, -0/+15cha-cha-cha
- SketchaMPM, on 10/20/2009, -0/+14Often airing between re-runs of The Critic and Mystery Science Theater 3000.
- awinters, on 10/20/2009, -4/+18Home Movies is better than all of those.
Frisky Dingo had a sort of idiotic charm to it as well. "Who even are you?" - Eupatorus, on 10/20/2009, -1/+14Home Movies isn't "forgotten". It's only been off the air for 5 years, and still plays on [AS] sometimes.
- twiztidsinz, on 10/20/2009, -1/+13Dugg for Mission Hill!
And Clerks. - Falldog, on 10/20/2009, -1/+13http://www.imgdump.info/img-imgdump-home-movies-oc ...
- djcll6122, on 10/20/2009, -5/+17I believe Dilbert needs to be added
- Xanderrr, on 10/20/2009, -1/+13Home movies FTW
I watch it religiously now that its not in squiggle vision, but those episodes still rock! - sleepylittlespy, on 10/20/2009, -2/+14Oh god, Capital Critters. Hadn't thought of that in years.
- s73v3r, on 10/20/2009, -1/+12The Tick was awesome, but Saturday Morning Cartoons are a different list. Do they even show Saturday Morning Cartoons anymore?
- samsmartjr, on 10/21/2009, -0/+11IT STINKS!
- kleptomaniac, on 10/20/2009, -0/+11Korgoth of Barbaria. Don't care how expensive it was, would've been awesome.
- kylescousin, on 10/20/2009, -2/+13Looks like "The life and times of Tim" is also forgotten already... What the hell happened to that show, it was kinda funny...
- Apokalyps2547, on 10/21/2009, -0/+11"I, ah, just spent the night with Catherine the Great.
Or, ah, should I say, Catherine the So-So" - nbcaffeine, on 10/21/2009, -0/+11I do cocaine
- MrFisty, on 10/21/2009, -0/+10I actually used the saying (albeit from The Simpsons) "Camus can do, but Sartre is smartre" the other day.
No one knew what the hell I was talking about. - moo113, on 10/21/2009, -0/+10Funny you should mention it, I just rewatched the whole series two weeks back.
Glenn Eichler is still a genius. He's been writing/consulting producing for Colbert for years. -
