- smoothmedia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+151Big breasted inuit lady really needs to get into a nonsensical yelling match with crazy cat lady.
- jkharris07, on 10/10/2007, -8/+94Pretty funny intro, I hope they don't wait another 20 years. I can't believe they waited that long.
- dagr8tim, on 10/10/2007, -5/+61While the episode was decent (better than what they've done in the past few years). The old stuff (12+ years) is really alot better.
- z3rgRush, on 10/10/2007, -12/+59Spiderpig.. spiderpig...
- glasnt, on 10/10/2007, -4/+39.. and just when I got the 'SpiderPig' music out of my head!
GAH!
.. # can he swing, from a web? No he can't, cos he's a pig #... - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+36Am I the only one that caught the iPhone reference at the very beginning of the episode when they were in the mall?
"iPhone's now .20 cents!" - pmuse, on 10/10/2007, -4/+36One of the good things about the Simpsons, originally, was that the characters had some depth. As Homer became more of a buffoon, the show lost the dimension that let people become invested in the characters, and made episodes like "When Homer met Marge" work.
- rstarr, on 10/10/2007, -3/+31If you haven't seen the movie yet then clearly you don't care THAT much.
- TheSolomon, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23On Fox last night. ;-)
- jeylux, on 10/10/2007, -7/+25Having Steven Colbert on there was Awesome!
- SpencerMc, on 10/10/2007, -5/+23My main issue with the last few years is that there has been no central plot to any of the episodes. They meander to the point that I find I don't feel like I just watched an episode so much as a series of weakly linked shorts (and no, I don't mean the kind you eat). There is no more character depth and all of the jokes are interchangeable, and I can't help but feel it's just a cheap imitation of what it used to be.
- theonlybigboss, on 11/09/2007, -5/+21can he swing from a web... no he can't cause he's a pig...
- VigaDSon, on 11/09/2007, -6/+21does whatever..spiderpig does....
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -2/+16He's not spiderpig anymore, he's Harry Plopper.
- Cyhwuhx, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15.::: It's almost as if the series was created to make money!
- dxgg, on 02/05/2008, -1/+14"Thank you, Boob Lady!"
- kevyn, on 11/09/2007, -4/+16look ouuuut
- PixelVision, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12I'd say it's the line "Attention shoppers, iPhone now 20 cents"
- Loonacy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12You mean "timb" of month. That's a proper spelling, look it up.
- AngryBacon, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16C'C'C'C'Combo Breaker!
You saw him! He made me do it! - daridave, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Yeah, but don't make too many movies, too. You know -- keep them special. Like Homer jokes in the movie, paying for something we get free on TV ... is somewhat true. It has to be good, special, different... for it to be at the theater. As far as I'm concerned, they can take all the time the need ... just keep it awesome.
- mashw, on 10/10/2007, -11/+21Guys, don't watch it then. Stop complaining on the internet.
- pmuse, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11And by "When Homer met Marge," I mean "The Way We Was".
- lukee, on 11/09/2007, -3/+12he is a spiderpig.
- Falldog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Was no Phil Sebben though.
- manbergur, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9DOH!! i mean, DUH
- omarciddo, on 11/09/2007, -3/+11Thanks.
- omega1045, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I laughed pretty hard when Homer said, "Commercial airlines are for losers and terrorists."
- schuder, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9It's crap because they dumbed down the comedy. Think back to the days of "Two Bad Neighbors" GHW Bush moves in next door. In response to an "Ayatollah Assahola" shirt Homer lists off the Ayatollahs that are consolidating power. Then in the sewer fight Bart says "Experiencing some blowback from the wig offensive." Now we have jokes on the level of a retard with "Commander Cuckoo Bananas"? The Simpsons were funny because they had not just slapstick but balanced it with highbrow humor. Also they took shots at everyone "Dem convention: We can't govern / GOP: We're evil" Now it's pretty one sided.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8.20 cents? You could buy 5 for 1 cent!
- torpedowilliams, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10I liked it. So there.

Enjoy it while it lasts... - orion846, on 10/10/2007, -10/+15intro was best part about episode
- indiephoenix, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6I gave you the benefit of a doubt and referenced the Oxford Dictionary, Merriam-Webster, and Dictionary.com and found no entry for "damb". I'm honestly curious where you got the idea that it is a proper spelling of "damn". I mean that. I'd really like to know.
- suprxtragrav, on 12/09/2008, -6/+11they changed the intro sequence?! after 20 years?!?!
- trer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Funny you mention the quality of the animation since probably the same Korean studio does the animation for all three of those shows.
- pooper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4wait, does that mean Dr. Nick is really dead???
- adiman7, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5They already watched it...
- Listor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Matt Groening said that he was not ending the series with the movie. Originaly he said and was waiting for the series to run out of steam. Since the series never ran out of steam he just decided to make a movie and keep the series going.
- Protoss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4"My Summer Love...."
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4You mean the competition for best simpsons intro ever comparing the same one they've had for 20 years and this one? What a contest.
- Computer_Kid, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I don't see him, when is shown?
- kevinmoore, on 06/13/2009, -1/+5Damn, I can't find "damb" in any of my damn dictionaries.
- Synn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Yes yes...and the English drink tea all day, Australians play with Kangaroos and boomerangs, Canadians worship hockey, the French surrender to everyone...should I go on?
- b0rna, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3removed...alternate link?
- keozen, on 11/09/2007, -1/+4Damn you, now I won't be able to get that outa my head all day.
- svivian, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Why is everyone getting dugg down for saying the Simpsons sucks? They're all right. The show is but a shadow of its former greatness.
The fact that half the posts above are quoting that Spider-Pig song as if it's anything more than midly amusing just goes to show how the show has sold out to the lowest common denominator. - Ploppyplop, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Or better yet, read it and then digg it down so other people don't have to...
- JoshuaH, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4http://www.rlslog.net/the-simpsons-s19e01-proper-p ...
- AROZ, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Around the 8th, people started saying how they couldn't compare to 3 and 3.
