- whiskeymb, on 10/12/2007, -4/+60just make sure when you watch it you mute the music, god I hate Nickelback crap.
- ajb2015, on 10/12/2007, -4/+54could do without the music.
- dignation, on 10/12/2007, -0/+48actually, i thought it was incredible the way they managed to go over the same jump with different speeds to go over different places each time.
- Jwoey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20you just dont understand despair destruction pain do you?
*hair flip* - schoofman, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20it ruined the effect. this ***** is supposed to be fun, not grunge/emo (the worst kind of music. let's be depressed and suicidal AND never take showers!)
- crumbelievable, on 10/12/2007, -15/+29Never has there been a more useless, self-congratulating hobby as Line Rider. Idea: Everyone's hobby should be curing cancer.
- SimonJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15I wonder how many weeks indoors this guy spent at this!
- Jaynix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13For a second I thought I was looking at somebody's myspace..
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12i dont like nickelback, or that kind of music in general, but the guy who made that video chose it, he must like it, and since i liked his video, i don't mind tolerating his musical tastes for a bit. No reason to be such a music snob people.
- Hindu_Wardrobe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11*cuts self* HOW COULD YOU SAY SUCH A THING?!
- lava, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10reminds me of my favorite quote - "Introducing Emo Bread... it cuts itself!"
- JollyR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7That was amazing. It's impressive how much detail he put into it...but yeah, the music does suck.
- HalFTW, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Probably because you clicked the reply link on the top post.
- rhettnyedotorg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7my computer doesn't like nickelback, it started throwing rocks.
- slickfire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5because the guy's other stuff is amazing also...you should check out what this one looked like before he actually made it look pretty.
- imnojezus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I think we need to start a NSFE tag for videos like this. I think we've all been burned enough by bad techno/***** gangsta/lame emo background music blasting forth at inopportune times. Start warning us!
NOT SAFE FOR EARS. - Azap, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4this guy has got to be some sort of savant
- downwiththeking, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is insanely strenuous, I've sat down a few times for an hour or two to try to make a course. Takes more patience then I am able to give!
- hexx54, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3sure is good, sick detail as well
- srudes2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nice detail, I can't imagine sitting there and doing all this
- chromecast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3In the latest version of LineRider the author added two new types of line: acceleration lines and scenery lines (have no surface)... There is also a much needed eraser and a checkpoint flag.
But, in any case, its a damn good job! - Al3x, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4http://www.official-linerider.com/play.html
Here's where you can play the game. - cjpro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's official, line rider is an art.
- themastersb, on 10/12/2007, -11/+14At least it wasn't rap music.
- EPeters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This guy must have a tablet to draw with. I can never get lines like that with a mouse.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Isn't TechDawg a group of Line Rider artists? Not just one person? That could explain why there are so many detail videos released so quickly.
- bfaulk04, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that definitely is the best line rider i've seen to date.
- Brickhaus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2How did that guy stay on the sled? There were many places where he should have fallen off?
Kudos to the designer. - tippern, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nickelback is the N-word of rock n roll, it just should not be said anymore
- whatyousay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Nickelback isn't emo they just suck.....A LOT
- evilada, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3As far as I could tell, the posting was "The Greatest Line Rider Artist Ever!" not "Check out this line rider video with totally sweet music".
Hooray, we all hate Nickelback. I have an idea.....instead of whining and complaining about it endlessly.....turn off your speakers, and just enjoy the enormous amount of time and effort the artist put into creating the actual line rider piece. Then, if you feel the need to comment....comment about the video itself instead of feeling the strong need to inform everyone about your musical preferences in place of it. Honestly, I click on the comments link to see what other diggers thought of the subject at hand, not what they think of modern music.
And yes, I realize that it's hypocritical to complain about this in a comment. Hypocrisy does not invalidate a point. All the same, here's my take on it:
Beautiful background detail and linework. And the repeating loop at different speeds was just flat out genius. I also have a special little place in my heart for line rider videos that end in the same place they began. - UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Except for being a little bit repetitive this was hands down the best.
- BradleyLS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I remember when Line Rider first came out. I thought it was OK. I had NO idea people would do such elaborate works with it... Amazing.
- chromecast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2mute?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Die at the Slopes is better. It has better music too.
Nickelback ruined the video. - fuzZzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That was truely amazing! wow.
Another amazing one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOp8shoOgOg
(I think the guy needs to pick better music) - sally00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1agreed. i sure as hell wouldn't want to be the one riding that freakin' thing...
- tateswayz91, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@ lava
"I wish my lawn was emo so it would cut itself." - chromecast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Music or no music, the artwork and attention to detail was top drawer!
One thing that really gets me is that one could just mute it if it really bothered them. - foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Also disturbing...
- chromecast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Evilada, I dont think you could have said it any better.
As with most things in life, there are many good things that out-wiegh the bad. In this case, the work was very well done regardless of what music was added to it.
I'm pretty sure if people believed in this philosophy, we wouldn't have such a grim outlook on things in general... - fearofcorners, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is it just me, or does it look like there's some funny business with this one? In a few spots it seemed like there shouldn't be enough inertia to carry the rider through the course, especially at the very end. Also, I thought the rider fell off in certain circumstances like hitting the ground upside down.
- myFriendDerrik, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Is it some rule that every line rider video has to have awful music?
- AimlessAbyss, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Nice background music. It seems like he tried to choreograph every time the song said "fly away" to when the rider jumped in the air really high.
- thentro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1couldn't finish it with that music.
- TechDawg, on 03/23/2008, -0/+0You obviously haven't played Line Rider much...
- matthistory, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1couldn't get past 30 seconds of nickelback
- TechDawg, on 03/23/2008, -0/+0I know it's been over a year, but your comment was "True to the Core" enough that I wanted to validate it again all the same. Thanks muchly indeed :)
- ninjasfromspace, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0nickleback ruined it.
