fanboys-online.com — What happens with the folks from Seinfield play D & D one day...
- 1705 diggs
- digg it
- alfal99, on 05/13/2008, -6/+277who else heard the actors while reading this?
- KnifeOrSpoon, on 05/13/2008, -0/+40how very odd, it seems their very voices have been etched into my mind with all those seasons from years gone by.
Do you think I should be worried when Jerry tells me the word is really 'ridiculous' and not 'ridicurous'??? - chanop, on 05/13/2008, -1/+41I did, this comic was pretty dead on
- wasanasan, on 05/13/2008, -0/+32Me too!
I also visualized kramer sliding in the door.- ElGigi, on 05/13/2008, -0/+5I almost could hear the applause from the audience after Kramer comes in!
- Daggerfall, on 05/13/2008, -0/+78I so did! Kramer:" That adds up you know" and George's raised hand, completely Seinfeld.
A really good strip - cerealjynx, on 05/13/2008, -0/+13It was very well done.
- cmw72, on 05/13/2008, -12/+9Who ARE these people ?!?
- Hrodrik, on 05/13/2008, -5/+1Who aaaaare these people?

- malex, on 05/13/2008, -11/+3It's unavoidable.
And I never even watched the show.- mciampa1214, on 05/13/2008, -1/+9What?! How would you know the voices then?
- Forsakenmantra, on 05/13/2008, -5/+2I laughed really hard when I read it on Monday. Worth the wait of not having a comic on Friday.
- ezran, on 05/13/2008, -2/+5I can hear the steel bass track in the background..
- warplayer, on 05/13/2008, -2/+13Believe it or not George is not home please leave a message at the beep.
- CrazyArcher, on 05/13/2008, -1/+10Where could I be!? Believe it or not, I'm not home!
- KnifeOrSpoon, on 05/13/2008, -0/+40how very odd, it seems their very voices have been etched into my mind with all those seasons from years gone by.
- socivitus, on 05/13/2008, -15/+9Damn Newman, always stealin' meh Cheetohs.
- amanilaenvelope, on 05/13/2008, -16/+8and whats the deal with Cheetohs!? Cheese and toes, who ever thought that sounded appetizing.
- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -1/+18Wow, that sounds a lot like what we all just read.
- amanilaenvelope, on 05/13/2008, -16/+8and whats the deal with Cheetohs!? Cheese and toes, who ever thought that sounded appetizing.
- MikeonTV, on 05/13/2008, -6/+134Thats gold Jerry. GOLD!
- suminona, on 05/13/2008, -3/+3Banya (reading): Why do they call it Ovaltine? The mug is round. The jar is
round. They should call it round tine. That's gold, Jerry! Gold!

- lupin0132, on 05/13/2008, -10/+3according to the rules of the Seinfield drinking game, i'd be drunk.
- CenturionMonkey, on 05/13/2008, -14/+8Dat Newman is a berry bad man!
- NotSoHotPink, on 05/13/2008, -4/+1You forgot the finger waving.
- MyDiggIsBig, on 05/13/2008, -0/+2you sound more like uncle enzo the barber. not so much babu. "Data Numan, loyal customer"
- burgerboy06, on 05/13/2008, -9/+96That writing is just as good as the show itself.
- Ghstfce, on 05/13/2008, -39/+7I'm sorry, I think you made a mistake. You used the word "good". Next time please end all sarcasm with the proper "/sarcasm off".
Thank you.- suspid, on 05/13/2008, -7/+29Go ***** yourself Ghstfce
- Ghstfce, on 05/13/2008, -39/+7I'm sorry, I think you made a mistake. You used the word "good". Next time please end all sarcasm with the proper "/sarcasm off".
- TGMD, on 05/13/2008, -5/+20Man, Jerry had some very intense looks there
- inigomntoya, on 05/13/2008, -0/+6I thought he looked more like Jim Carrey in some of those frames...
- rolan1bp, on 05/13/2008, -4/+13I read this guy's stuff regularly. Not much of it is as stand-alone as this but I highly recommend it.
- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -8/+8Come to think of it, Festivus kinda sounds like a good name for a tanaari.
I haven't looked at Fanboys in awhile. How many times did that guy reinvent his art style?- AmaDaden, on 05/13/2008, -0/+10He did not reinvent so much as refine it. There was one comic to show a change of style but other then that it's just been slowly changing. This is common for web comic people. The art gets a lot better after a few years. It's always interesting to look through the archives of a web comic and see the slow change.
- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -6/+2I used to read Fanboys and got disgusted with it around the time the Nintendo kid started dating the Xbox kid. So sappy. I did like some of the mini comics he started to produce though. Now I see the main characters are changed even more.
Wait, now I remember why I stopped reading it, he spoiled the Dumbledore thing for me with Zelda characters.. God dammit. I was almost caught up, I was on the 6th book, I had read the first 6 in 2 months, and I was almost caught up so I could read the last book and not get spoiled on the ending of the whole series, then he spoiled the end of the book I was about to get done with. Really pissed me off.

- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -4/+2I guess to know what a tanaari is you have to have actually played D&D, and judging by the comments not many people do. Yes I know there's an apostrophe in there somewhere before some smartass points it out, I just don't know where it goes.. between the a's I think.

- Merendino, on 05/13/2008, -8/+1I enjoyed this.
- Treshnell, on 05/13/2008, -7/+2Looks like the Pet Detective in that last panel.
- VanD, on 05/13/2008, -10/+3These Cheese Toes are making me thirsty!
- Kenzan, on 05/13/2008, -26/+10[George's Apartment]
Frank opens the door, to reveal Kramer, carrying a large portable record player.
KRAMER: Hey. I uh, brought back your record player, huh.
FRANK: Thank you, Kramer.
KRAMER: Yeah.
FRANK: (indicating a chair) Put it over there.
Kramer dumps the record player on the chair. Frank goes to the couch, not moving
very easily.
KRAMER: So, how you feeling?
FRANK: Tired.
KRAMER: Uh huh. Your back hurt?
FRANK: How did you know?
KRAMER: Well, it's obvious, you know. You're carrying a lot of extra baggage up
there.
FRANK: (looks down, and indicates his chest) Up here?
KRAMER: Oh, yeah. Top floor. (sits beside Frank) Listen, Frank, have you ever
considered wearing something for support? Now, look at this. (reaches into his
pocket) Mind you, this is just a prototype.
Kramer brings out a garment constructed of canvas and elasticated fabric.
FRANK: You want me to wear a bra?!
KRAMER: No, no. A bra is for ladies.
Kramer holds the garment up to his own chest.
KRAMER: Meet, the bro.- Forsakenmantra, on 05/13/2008, -4/+3What the hell was the point of that?
- Witchbaby, on 05/13/2008, -4/+2I believe just pointing out the pure hilarity of Seinfeld.
- bigsteve, on 05/13/2008, -1/+5Or the average digger's need for a bro?

Last two panels - Comedy Gold- ledmonkey, on 05/13/2008, -0/+5GOLD, Jerry, GOLD!
- bjs3171, on 05/13/2008, -6/+63"WHAM!!!"
"15 Damage!!"
I could literally hear him saying that. spot on comic.- 30thElement, on 05/13/2008, -2/+16I don't think you know what that word means.
- suminona, on 05/13/2008, -0/+9Your misuse of the word is literally killing the English language.
- nksoccer13, on 05/13/2008, -2/+8Language evolves and adapts.
- Pikachelsea, on 05/14/2008, -2/+1No, stupid people use it incorrectly, and those of us in the know laugh at them. Stop defending ignorance plzthx.
- nksoccer13, on 05/13/2008, -2/+8Language evolves and adapts.
- cor315, on 05/14/2008, -0/+0maybe he could literally hear him say that O.O
- cr4wl3r, on 05/13/2008, -18/+4the art kinda blows.
- elliott9, on 05/13/2008, -3/+2like youi?
- DeadSkinMask, on 05/13/2008, -24/+5Well, after viewing this, I feel its time to dust off the 'ol "Ok, This is Lame" tag...
- Failchan, on 05/14/2008, -2/+1I'm embarassed that a Slayer fan Dugg this down.
- jjhuddle, on 05/13/2008, -9/+0"No +4 sword of fire for you!"
- bralynn, on 05/13/2008, -13/+5What's the deal with Magic Missiles? They're neither "Magic", nor "Missiles"! ... oh wait.
- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -1/+13They're both magic AND missles.. a thrown rock is a missle, there's a broader definition. Magic Missle throws magic at an enemy, therefore it's both. Did anyone who commented yet actually play D&D other than me? Neverwinter Nights doesn't count =/
Depressing..- Scira, on 05/13/2008, -4/+2does baldurs gate count? noone ever wanted to play D&D with me.
- dougmc, on 05/13/2008, -4/+3NWN should be close enough to realize that a magic missile is both. It's even a guided missile -- it never misses!
Just don't try to use them to attack ... the darkness.- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -3/+1But that's like.. what they're made for! That's why they come in packs of more than 1 after 3rd level, like soda.
- bralynn, on 05/13/2008, -4/+3I was joking, hence the, "... oh wait.".
- bob10marley, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1everyone is dumb except for you bralynn, that is something that jerry would say
- facereplacer, on 05/13/2008, -23/+5am I the only one who thought this was a waste of bandwidth?
seriously?- Harelin, on 05/13/2008, -1/+3Looks to be that way. Funny, I thought the same about your comment.
- snafflepaffle, on 05/13/2008, -3/+1Waste. Stupid use. Whichever one you want to call it.
Definitely.
- Andon, on 05/13/2008, -3/+46Where's the Superman reference?
- Asvetic, on 05/13/2008, -8/+3Jerry looked really pissed in that comic.
- Nemmic, on 05/13/2008, -11/+4My mother caught me... You know, I was alone...
- Witchbaby, on 05/13/2008, -5/+2...I was reading her Glamour magazine...
- Tyrghast, on 05/13/2008, -10/+1Forscythe run to the center. Just heal me.
- quill, on 05/13/2008, -6/+30Hello, could someone post a working mirror please?
And then dig me down. :) - MaximusD, on 05/13/2008, -7/+22George is a dwarf with an 8 for charisma. Jerry is a Bard, of course (He has a +10 to Craft: Inane Rant). Elaine, definitely a "Witchy Woman." Man, I love it when my nerd worlds collide.
- MaximusD, on 05/13/2008, -1/+16I'm sorry, that should be a plus 10 to Perform: Inane Rant. It's what he uses for his Bardic Music.
- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -3/+7Thank you.. Wow.. I think you're the first commenter other than me that's played D&D.
- revjustin2, on 05/13/2008, -5/+2Just because we can't quote ***** verbatim and pointlessly correct people on obscura doesn't mean we didn't play it. It means that we have maintained our self-respect.
- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -3/+7Thank you.. Wow.. I think you're the first commenter other than me that's played D&D.
- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -2/+7Inane rant grants a -2 morale penalty to all subjects being satired within a 50 ft radius.
His other bardic music could be called "What's the Deal?" lol- patik, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3You had me up until you "lol"ed yourself.
- rentmitchum, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2I lol myself nightly.
- patik, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3You had me up until you "lol"ed yourself.

it seems that the index page was altered by the host
- dargon, on 05/13/2008, -1/+4how is that a mirror when it's the same site
- Aharoni, on 05/13/2008, -1/+4Its not a mirror if its hosted on the same server!
- Hefelumpman, on 05/13/2008, -2/+4a direct link to the image in question isn't a mirror.
- Olegovich, on 05/13/2008, -7/+12Who ***** cares, it works.
- Harelin, on 05/13/2008, -2/+9Wow, someone is severely misunderstanding the point of a mirror.
- ayeroxor, on 05/13/2008, -1/+17next time you post a mirror, try to use a different server than the one slowed down/killed by the submission...
MIRROR: http://bayimg.com/hajDDaABk (once loaded, click image for full-size) - ahawks, on 05/13/2008, -4/+7Well, we certainly have plenty of mirrors of the "its not a mirror if its on the same server" comment. Good job guys.
- twiztidsinz, on 05/13/2008, -2/+5They seem to be all posted within 60 seconds of each other.
If you want to complain, blame Digg's lack of live commenting.- TheKyle27, on 05/13/2008, -3/+3it's not a mirror if its on the same server
- twiztidsinz, on 05/13/2008, -2/+2Your comment makes no sense in relation to my comment or the comment that I replied to.
'ahawks' made note of the numerous people making similar comments about people complaining about the "mirror" not being a mirror because it was from the same page to which I responded with my comment stating that all the posts he was complaining about were made within 1 minute of each other so it was not their fault that they all made similar comments, it was the fact that Digg does not have 'live' comments that show as people make them.
It more often than not takes more than 1 minute for the page to load and read the comments before starting a reply, let alone finishing the reply and having it submitted.
If you were trying to be funny by restating the obvious statement that has been stated multiple times, then you fail even more for making such a lame joke.
- twiztidsinz, on 05/13/2008, -2/+2Your comment makes no sense in relation to my comment or the comment that I replied to.
- TheKyle27, on 05/16/2008, -0/+1@twiztidsinz:
Wow... I must have struck a nerve. I'm sorry I ruined your day... I hope you've had a better week since then.
PS - Next time you might save your time and energy and just use the red button with the thumbs down symbol. That's the bury button.
PPS - Before you berate me for responding to your original comment instead of your response to me, apparently the new comment system won't let me comment at a deeper level than this.
Thanks!

- johnomaz, on 05/13/2008, -31/+8Ok, did anyone actually find that funny. I found it quite stupid really. Who would take time to draw that. Epic fail.
- bankrobbery, on 05/13/2008, -0/+5Yes actually, most people did. I think the general consensus here, is that it's a pretty clever comic strip.
- revjustin2, on 05/13/2008, -1/+7Please familiarize yourself with the definition of the word "epic".
- Failchan, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1A comic artist, perhaps?
- jayrok, on 05/14/2008, -9/+6These pretzels are making me thirsty!
- taradisiac, on 05/13/2008, -12/+0That show's humor was sometimes too dark to be funny.
Like Malcolm, which was 90% of the time. - polalion, on 05/13/2008, -1/+21These pretzels are making me... *rolls d20* Parched.
Sorry, I rolled a 1.- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -6/+3Rolling a 1 would have you choking on a pretzel. Something tells me George Bush has many critical fails.
- EricAnderton, on 05/13/2008, -2/+5Yea, but he got something like 5 consecutive re-rolls on election day. Who the hell gets that many natural 20's in a row!?
- rentmitchum, on 05/13/2008, -2/+1Maybe he has a group of clerics make all his rolls for him. They'd all need the luck domain.
- EricAnderton, on 05/13/2008, -2/+5Yea, but he got something like 5 consecutive re-rolls on election day. Who the hell gets that many natural 20's in a row!?

- suspid, on 05/13/2008, -6/+57Anyone who didn't enjoy this clearly hasn't watched a single episode of Seinfeld.
Or perhaps that person thinks Friends are funnier.- revjustin2, on 05/13/2008, -9/+9Jennifer Aniston playing a game where she has to pretend to be something other than herself is about as likely as Jennifer Aniston acting in a movie/sitcom where she isn't pretending to be something other than herself.
- suspid, on 05/13/2008, -0/+13Yep, she's got a great ass
- revjustin2, on 05/13/2008, -1/+8I got dugg down for ragging on Jennifer Aniston's acting and suspid gets dugg up for saying she has a nice ass. What does this say about Digg?
- kingvik, on 05/14/2008, -0/+5That we like Jennifer Aniston's ass.
- Demener, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2You just got Dugg up for being spot on.
- thefangedrabbit, on 05/13/2008, -0/+3I'm pretty sure it's just that yours made no sense.
- suspid, on 05/13/2008, -0/+6Dude, since your comment made no sense WHATSOEVER, I've just written a random ***** thing to bask in the confusion
- revjustin2, on 05/14/2008, -1/+1I'm pretty sure that mine makes sense. It's a complex sentence, I'll give you that, but it makes sense. I'l also give you the fact that what I said wasn't really all that funny and/or amusing, BUT grammatically and logically, what I wrote makes sense. You have to give me points for trying.
- Ikulus, on 05/13/2008, -8/+5I've watched every episode an average of 5 times each, and I didn't enjoy this.
- revjustin2, on 05/13/2008, -2/+3There may be a correlation.
- Pikachelsea, on 05/14/2008, -3/+3I've watched several episodes of Seinfeld, and I regret to inform you that this wasn't funny. OMG THEY MADE KRAMER BUST THROUGH THE DOOR JUST LIKE ON THE SHOW!!! AND JERRY SAID "NEWMAN" JUST LIKE ON THE SHOW!!! OMFG I CAME.
The public's rampant inability to distinguish between satire and blatant imitation is the reason we continue to get things like "Epic Movie" or "Meet The Spartans" coming out of Hollywood. Simply making a reference to another show or movie IS NOT FUNNY.
And for the record, I don't think Friends is that great either.- coldfusion1970, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1Luckily your opinion doesnt affect us.
- revjustin2, on 05/13/2008, -9/+9Jennifer Aniston playing a game where she has to pretend to be something other than herself is about as likely as Jennifer Aniston acting in a movie/sitcom where she isn't pretending to be something other than herself.
- Mjuboy, on 05/13/2008, -3/+17I feel like watching an episode now.
- Morfine, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1me to, maybe the episode of when george changes all the yankees uniforms to be made out of cotton, or the one where elaine trys to buy some socks for her boss
- 8bitvillain, on 05/13/2008, -3/+20Lol, this was pretty good. I could totally hear the actors when reading along.
- xeno439, on 05/13/2008, -10/+2This was genius. Well done boys (or girls, but I doubt it).
- Railoc, on 05/13/2008, -10/+7Writing is pretty good, but the art... Ugh.
And Knights of the Dinner Table did this idea first and better. Not that anyone here knows what that is...- musicbear, on 05/13/2008, -0/+2I do I do!!!! KotDT rules and knows all... kenzerco.com... check it out... and they did do it first... but still cool. Sorry... I rolled a natural 20 on the nerd freak out table...
- gravytrain73, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2Who doesn't know KotDT? Anyone who doesn't doesn't deserve to be called a gamer.
And I liked the art...
- dalnet22, on 05/13/2008, -12/+2As a huge Seinfeld fan, I was let down.
- retrovertigo, on 05/13/2008, -0/+5Your expectations were too high. For me, the casual Seinfeld viewer, I thought it was pretty good.
- HubbertWins, on 05/13/2008, -1/+9What we need in this country is not broadband upgrades, it is webserver upgrades. It does me no good to have the capability of downloading 8 zillion gigabits per nanosecond, when every friggin webserver I try to connect to is one big turtle fest.
- skidooer, on 05/13/2008, -0/+5Or we could fix the copyright laws to allow us use of protocols like bittorrent to more efficiently transfer this type of information around with the bandwidth and computing power we do have.
- D14BL0, on 05/13/2008, -0/+15Web browsing via torrent? Yeah, that's just what I need. 200 open connections to load index.html.
- skidooer, on 05/13/2008, -0/+5Or we could fix the copyright laws to allow us use of protocols like bittorrent to more efficiently transfer this type of information around with the bandwidth and computing power we do have.

(lol, DD in my captcha)- patik, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1There's no captcha to post a comment...
