- akkibaba, on 04/08/2008, -10/+79These would be hilarious if Bush didn't leave the dead bodies of 4000+ Americans and 80,000+ Iraqis in his wake. These cartoons now seem more sad than funny.
- x0rcist, on 04/08/2008, -1/+7024 = 25?
- ucbmckee, on 04/08/2008, -6/+65Clarification: the 25 best cartoons from the Seattle Post Intelligencer newspaper. There are countless better cartoons out there.
- madbadger, on 04/08/2008, -9/+45Buried for being inaccurate. These are the 25 best Bush cartoons by one cartoonist. Misleading title. And they weren't that great either.
- topace3000, on 04/08/2008, -0/+27Number 24 sucked, but 25 made up for it.
- Doktag, on 04/08/2008, -1/+27Clarification: the 24 best cartoons... #24 and #25 are exactly the same :/
- RikkiTikki, on 04/08/2008, -0/+15Summary of the 25 cartoons: Bush is dumb, created a huge deficit, drove us into an unnecessary war, made social services more expensive, looks like a monkey.
- 13tongimp, on 04/08/2008, -2/+16Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Family Guy do a joke years ago where Brian distracts a bunch of rednecks by telling them that a gay married couple is burning the American Flag?
- redfan, on 04/08/2008, -0/+9286 days, 23 hours, 38 minutes...
- dtfinch, on 04/08/2008, -0/+8The last two look oddly similar.
- MforMike, on 04/08/2008, -10/+16those sucked
- cl2yp71c, on 04/08/2008, -2/+8Georgey Georgey, how we won't miss you....
- Carpex, on 04/08/2008, -3/+9Just read the description: It's the 25 best cartoons by David Horsey.
- matadata, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5Some are only mildly funny, others are brilliant. There are a lot more context to some of these comics than a lot of readers will probably realize. And some low blows, too. They were worth the time.
- nursarahlam, on 04/08/2008, -1/+6it is indeed very good..very political in a sense of humour..
- inactive, on 04/08/2008, -1/+680 000 is a bit of an underestimate, but when you start talking about numbers that big..... I mean, when is it "too much"? 1? 10? 100? 1 000 000? What is an unacceptable loss in bringing "democracy and freedom?"
- Dumbledorito, on 04/08/2008, -1/+6"...how about one or even two cartoons in that collection that show Bush in at least a neutral or --gasp-- favorable light?"
How about we get around to that the minute that Bush does something that doesn't cost us trillions and/or turn into a huge pile of fail for everyone in America that doesn't own a yacht? - bigboss0101, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4One year ago the number of iraqis killed was above 1 million. "One death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic" - Stalin
- mclaughlind, on 04/08/2008, -3/+7Oh, right after September 11 he did an alright job. The problem is after that; he thought it gave him a mandate of endless power. . .
Unfortunately, it didn't. That plus the fact that he's ran up the national debt, he's running a massive deficit and his failure to respond to Katrina (among other things) makes him a pretty terrible president in my book. - pinguwin, on 04/08/2008, -2/+6Some good ones but only the top 25 by a single cartoonist. So some good ones but incomplete relative to the headline. No headline "25 best..about...bush" would be complete without something by the Washington Post's Tom Toles. IMHO, the finest political cartoonist out there and one who has some real doozies about the "president."
- Tyrghast, on 04/08/2008, -2/+6From one artist. On a side note, please stop associating this president with Texas. He was only governor for a little while, he was not raised here, and we're tired of all this ***** directed at Texans. This artist seems to think that using Texas as an adjective is appropriate for making a subject seem stupid or frivolous.
- moliver000, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4Yeah, comics about people doing well are really ***** funny.
- matadata, on 04/08/2008, -1/+5That made me do a double take too.
- dudeabides420, on 04/08/2008, -1/+5yeah what a gip! i was promised 25 comics dammit!
- inactive, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4email them and they'll delete the account
- morninglorii, on 04/08/2008, -1/+5The last two are the same :(
- Celeron, on 04/08/2008, -5/+8*yawn*
- midriscoll09, on 04/08/2008, -2/+5The sad truth of the matter is that the candidates for president now do not have a real plan to fix the economy. They all want to focus on the war, healthcare, immigration, and racism. The fact of the matter is that no one will be happy if America is broke. No money, no power, no rights.
- Dumbledorito, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3I couldn't get through all of them. The subject matter started making me depressed...
- GhostyBoy, on 04/08/2008, -1/+4I was hearing almost a million until last week when it jumped down to 80,000.
Did they reset the counter? - FloMonster, on 04/08/2008, -0/+324 = 25, for very large values of 25.
- lukasm, on 04/08/2008, -1/+4That would be all well and good if the description came up on the main page, instead of just on the comments page. I'm one of those crazy people who actually read the article before digging/commenting on it.
- DaviDTC, on 04/08/2008, -0/+325 cartoons with the smallest text.
Damn my eyes hurt now. - breezytrees, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3shhh your spoiling it
- r00fus, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3Guess what... most of these issues AFFECT the economy.
1) War costs (paid and yet to be paid) are devaluing the dollar
2) healthcare is bankrupting families
3) corporations use undocumented workers (as pseudo-slave labor) to ***** over the common worker and depress wages - Ummagumma, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3I Digg those, the one with the stock market as a whore is priceless.
- bbart3d, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Maybe so, but these are pretty darn good.
- JulyZerg, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3There's only 24... lol...
- Diderotten, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2I think they threw in an "interracial", too.
- ucbmckee, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Personally, I think Mark Fiore (http://www.markfiore.com) is one of the best political cartoon satirists around. You can see an archive of his work somewhere on that site or, more easily accessible, at http://www.sfgate.com/columnists/fiore/archive .
- omnirusa, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Correction he won it in 1999, and 2003.
http://www.pulitzer.org/year/2003/editorial-cartoo ... - licnyc, on 04/08/2008, -2/+4More excuses for incompetence - buried for being anti-american
- tsotha, on 04/08/2008, -2/+4The million estimate was always kind of laughable. If you're against the war it doesn't help your cause to throw clearly bogus numbers ou there.
- topgigmedia, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Sad when cartoons (which are meant to be funny) evoke such (valid) horrid emotion in so many viewers (just reading thru comments above)...
- sporad1c, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1I agree it's almost appalling the way he talks about the war. I am ex military and I believe we should be in Afghanistan, but not Iraq. There was no reason in the first place and there is still no reason to waste the lives of Americans over there.
- thenome, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Couldn't agree more... some of these weren't even that good. I would like to see a better and more complete list made.
- bigboss0101, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1These 25 are damn stupid.. Anyone have better Bush cartoons.. pls post the links.
- Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1Hilarious.
- vwvan, on 04/11/2008, -0/+1http://bagnewsnotes.typepad.com/bagnews/images/Bus ...
- bigboss0101, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Thanks for the links
