Burton cited Miller's TDK Batman as his inspiration for his movies, taking Batman from campy West days into the darker side of the character, and Nolan also cited it among the darker, more realistic Batman's for his latest depictions. TDK is one of the best Batman comics around, and I can only hope the new movie is half as good, especially in how they depict the *****-off homicidal and all round psychotic side of The Joker.

  • Philbert, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3I'm not much of a super hero comic book reader, but in highschool I worked in a comic store and picked up a few things here and there. Some of these "what ifs" reminded me of one from those days called Speeding Bullets, pretty much "what if Kal-els space craft was found by the Wayne's instead of the Kents". I don't remember much about it other than it was pretty cool.

Mention this sort of thing and you run the risk of coming off as sexist. God forbid that people learn about this, they might actually have to decide for themselves if it is a good or bad thing.
