- Skab, on 11/28/2008, -1/+54To be truly accurate the turkey should be shriveled and small as *****.
- Jehutes, on 11/28/2008, -1/+38I would assume because it may be hard to keep a piece of metal like a pitchfork to stay on fire.
- iancgi, on 11/28/2008, -6/+42comic is inaccurate, obama voted yes on the bailout and would be at the table with the rest of the *****.
- RoflCoptah, on 11/28/2008, -0/+33wheres the side of American hopes and dreams they'll soon be devouring?
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -14/+44Obama's two economic advisers are former CEOs of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
He wont do a damn thing. - N837AW, on 11/28/2008, -3/+27What the hell is Obama doing? "Will there be any leftovers?" Come on, really? Did this cartoonist forget who pushed for the GM bailout and who voted for the other bailouts that passed through the Senate? Obama invited them to this feast. Get real.
- HookmasterCH47, on 11/28/2008, -2/+26I've always used cornbread for stuffing.
- Yookji, on 11/28/2008, -4/+27Corporations and individuals will almost always take money if given the option. Blame Congress and Bush/Obama for wanting to give them taxpayer money.
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -2/+25That's so weird, I remember reading that somewhere...
HMM... - inactive, on 11/28/2008, -7/+26The Fed is Jewish?
- jtbell04, on 11/28/2008, -0/+14Garfield has punchlines?
- Jacolyte, on 11/28/2008, -2/+14Henry Paulson is the secretary of the treasury. The Fed is made up of private companies... anything BUT federal.
- jtbell04, on 11/28/2008, -1/+12What the ***** is "homour"?
- Jareth86, on 11/28/2008, -1/+12Really? He looks more like the nazi from the first Indiana Jones movie to me.
- Jacolyte, on 11/28/2008, -6/+15Obama supports the bailouts... tool.
- MrWally, on 11/28/2008, -8/+17Barack Obama looks so concerned :(
I really hope he can get us out of this mess. - Texmurphy01, on 11/28/2008, -1/+10You know, the implication might just be that he wants a piece of the pie for himself for when he gets into the office. Obama is not necessarily being portrayed as the good guy here.
- BusynessStudent, on 11/28/2008, -0/+8That's why there is stuffing
- JoeB4ever, on 11/28/2008, -0/+8sadly they never get stuffed
- AlienMushroom, on 11/28/2008, -1/+9Happy Taxgiving.
- rdwinder, on 11/28/2008, -0/+8thats for pudding
- TheCash, on 11/28/2008, -3/+10Amen. Where is his helping of hot steaming media criticism?
- mardraum, on 11/28/2008, -6/+13for some reason I always think these political cartoons where they have to label everything are stupid as *****.
[FDR]
[NEW DEAL]
[COMMUNISM]
for a garfield level punchline. - evilpolitians, on 11/28/2008, -2/+9So are you saying Obama has no track record? He does as a Congressman. He voted for the $700 billion TARP bailout.
Let's look at his track record as President-Elect. Over the past few days, he has clearly articulated his plans for "Day 1". He supports even more bailouts including for Detroit. He supports more "stimulus" checks to taxpayers. He supports increasing the deficit to fund all of this hoping for a brighter day. Mind you expectations are being set by his team, Pelosi, Reid and even Obama himself that won't likely happen until his second term.
Stop drinking the Kool Aid. - X9001, on 11/28/2008, -1/+7I am really tired of digg taking complex political issues it barely understands then giving a childish black and white perspective on them
- jessehadden, on 11/28/2008, -5/+11Probably because Americans are exceedingly ignorant and gullible, have complete voting amnesia, and will lick the boot that kicks them if it says soothing words at the same time.
Also, like Jehutes said, probably because metal doesn't burn. When they do march on Washington, it will be with slightly carbon-scored pitchforks and lighters. - mrtdot, on 11/28/2008, -1/+7We are a buncha turkeys!
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -0/+5And they aren't all being frogmarched to prison yet, and why not?
- pintomp3, on 11/28/2008, -1/+6they aren't given the option. they buy that option through campaign contributions and by having their own put in positions like treasury secretary. it's like making a drug dealer head of police and wondering why crime is so high. we need to jam the revolving door between corporations and our government.
- Nosferotu, on 11/28/2008, -0/+5Glad to hear there's someone else out there who feels this way.
But it's not digg doing it - digg just shares it around. - billbugger, on 11/28/2008, -2/+7*tear* Leave Obama ALONE!!! *tear*
- Azerael, on 11/28/2008, -0/+5Maybe it's a kind of dip or something.
- TheCash, on 11/28/2008, -8/+12Obama supports the bailout. Hell, he pushed for it back when he was just a candidate. He is right there with Bush on this one, and makes no bones about it.
I think the bailout is a horrible idea, but I have no idea why the big O isn't catching as much flak over it as the current administration is. Even this cartoon tries to portray him as being an outsider. - evilpolitians, on 11/28/2008, -5/+9I like how Obama was made to look sad about possibly no leftovers. As if he didn't vote for the $700 TARP bailout and hasn't proposed even more deficit raising bailouts of corporate pigs including Detroit.
- evilpolitians, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3Yes Congress is where the money spent is truly decided. Remember Obama is from Congress. The first elected from there in decades because of the view they are corrupt and spend carelessly. Somehow people forgot that (including Obama was the 2nd highest recipient of money from Fannie and Freddie Mae).
But to say Obama can't do anything is incorrect. The President signs the bills into law. It's just that no president has had the courage to veto bills because of a little pork. - Vikrane, on 11/28/2008, -1/+4Inaccurate, i live in DC and i saw nothing like this.
- TheCash, on 11/28/2008, -3/+6Maybe because we aren't a bunch of childish ***** that feel the need to take out our unearned frustration and sexual inadequacies on random cars and innocent bystanders, unlike those self righteous pieces of ***** in France a little while ago.
Oh, and in case you missed my point: You're a douche Dagon... stop posting your hateful thoughtware crap links here. No one gives a ***** what you or your little mentally castrated hate squad buddies think. - inactive, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3AIG ought to be taken over, the property of it and its board taken, and sold to the highest bidder, the money returned to the people it belonged to.
- linagee, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3No, they're frogmarching *us* into a boiling pot of water. That's the side dish!
- jeexbit, on 11/28/2008, -1/+4Give Obama a chance for chrissake.
- ZincSaucier, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3thats the point
- Spartacusprime, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -6/+9Give me a break. The arrogant newbie would be eating along with them.
BURIED for false hope and no change. - inactive, on 11/28/2008, -1/+4So is dissent patriotic or not? It seems to change often, depending on who's in power...or who's in power-elect.
- HimThatSpeaks, on 11/28/2008, -2/+4I like Stove Top.
- djbon2112, on 11/28/2008, -1/+3@Sabre24q7: Have you even LOOKED at 20th Century American history? The American public is getting more and more sheepish, ignorant and gullible every election. Citizens in 1776 (not just the Founding Fathers, but any citizen who fought for liberty) would cringe at what the American public has allowed to happen in the 250 years since their victory.
- Zenham, on 11/28/2008, -1/+3possibly relevant comic, but unfortunately the writer, Mike Adams, is a fringe loon. He writes a ton of malarkey in order to sell his books (including things that the scientific community has solidly disproven).
As such, I don't feel the need to listen to him with any serious intent. It's a shame when the clown car antics of someone in the media make even the responsible things they say laughable. - LordRedSnake, on 11/28/2008, -1/+3Hank Paulson is the Treasury Secretary... that should be a bearded Ben Bernanke.
- supguy, on 11/28/2008, -0/+2coulda fooled me.
