- Pillage, on 09/30/2008, -3/+28run for president.
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -3/+26Colbert for President. Now there's a scenario I would love to see become a reality.
- BeShirtHappy, on 09/30/2008, -2/+22One of my favorite super heroes paired with one of my favorite funny guys... very nice!
- Chachuka, on 09/30/2008, -1/+15dugg but wtf
- Shogi, on 09/30/2008, -3/+16Divide by zero.
- eraser34, on 09/30/2008, -2/+12Get higher ratings than Jon Stewart.
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -2/+11colbert, my hero.......
- Shogi, on 09/30/2008, -1/+9Spidey's kind of redundant isn't he? I mean what help could he possibly be to the all-powerful Colbert?
- Murrabbit, on 09/30/2008, -2/+9It was a reality - he won a Peabody for it.
Seriously, try to keep up with the times, man. - badboys213, on 09/30/2008, -0/+6Wouldn't it make more sense if he was fighting with Captain America instead?
- bhowell, on 09/30/2008, -0/+5reluctant?
- Greg2k, on 09/30/2008, -2/+6Fixed: http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/9176/colbertdq1 ...
- UrlorJkron, on 09/30/2008, -1/+5Well, he could fight Chuck Norris. It just might not be in his best interest.
- AzDraon, on 09/30/2008, -1/+5I can't wait for him to run with this on The Report.
- Crash1337, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3Colbert could be a Skrull
- tkhooker, on 09/30/2008, -3/+5Best.Idea.Ever.
- Riatsala, on 09/30/2008, -0/+2I've just been reading the first few years of Amazing Spiderman. They would never have done anything like this back then!
- shauncullen, on 09/30/2008, -1/+3I read your comment in my head as "I can't wait for him to run with this on The Repor".
Damn that man for forever ruining words ending in T. You'll pay for this COLBEEEERRRRRTTTTT!!!!!!! - mercano, on 09/30/2008, -0/+2All the classic Marvel comics have an adjective in their title. Uncanny X-Men, Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk, Invincible Iron Man, Mighty Avengers, Amazing Spiderman.
- hybridcreation, on 09/30/2008, -2/+4Am I the only one that thinks this is really stupid? A legendary comic book character "joining forces" with a political TV (sorta) funny guy? And I thought Sgt. Slaughter and Refrigerator Perry joining G.I. Joe was gimmicky.
I hope they got a lot of money for this...Marvel Team-Up it is not.
Buried for lameness alone. - drakenlot, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1They are called The Fantastic Four, so I don't think that fits as well as the other ones. Or am I retarded?
- verifex, on 09/30/2008, -1/+2Stephen Colbert is a reluctant cult-of-personality who has used his character to capture the imagination of the nation. He is most interesting and I'm not surprised Marvel would take and use his larger-then-life character in their comics. Bravo!
- GambitIXXI, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1He already has Captain America's Shield why not have a adventure with Spiderman
- shiva14b, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1So thats whats been up with all those "Colbert 2008" banners hidden in the panel of all my comics... I was like wtf, it was funny the first time, but now its in every issue
Colbert has already had at least one cameo in Amazing Spider-Man, I think the same issue that had the Mythbusters doing a cameo as teachers in Peters school. So it makes sense at least - verifex, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1Think about the character he is portraying for a moment, that character is not the real Stephen Colbert. The reason why his character is so popular is that he is mocking an actual personality that many people find completely acceptable.
Under different circumstances, the caricature of the personality he is portraying wouldn't be possible. Think about it, Stephen Colbert is funny because he is actively mocking something real, if that thing wasn't real, the Stephen Colbert character wouldn't exist in the same form, or maybe at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he enjoys the show, but the fact is, he exists as a monument to the fact that we have very real people who are playing very real arrogant jackasses disguised as journalist and pundits. - fxu1989, on 09/30/2008, -2/+3Spider-man would slow down Colbert's ass-kicking time.
HE'S NO MATCH FOR STEPHEN!!!!!!!!!!! - inactive, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1Stewart/Colbert will be featured in every episode of "I love the 2000's"
- themastersb, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1Bring Ed's mom back to life.

- shawnolds, on 09/30/2008, -2/+2Face it. You just spend way to much time on digg. lol
- Chachuka, on 09/30/2008, -1/+1Nah, it's cool. Let's see where they go with it... So far, I'm liking BND. And it's very possible they might make something really great of the whole MJ thing. Keep an open mind!
Also, Peter was getting to be kinda old; that move added at least another two-hundred issues of AMS before people would begin asking "how's that guy *still* young?" - KellyNordin, on 10/13/2008, -0/+0Real creativety http://digg.com/comics_animation/New_creative_work ...
- HeatVision, on 09/30/2008, -1/+1Not sure about this. Love Spider-Man, love Colbert, but the last time somebody paired a superhero with a comedian we got Superman III.
