    The real point here is that the sky has not fallen as the corrupt drug warriors and the braindead cultural warriors would have you believe. Seems that every state can look at CA's experience and just legalize it already.

  • Hetman, on 07/22/2009, -2/+6I personally think marijuana should be legal. However if it is never legal for individual use. It should still be used for medical reasons. It is literally one of the safest pain killers. Also unlike most other pain killers it does not cause loss of apetite, it actually increases apetite. If you have ever seen anyone with cancer who can barely eat you would be thinking differently.

I don't like that "typical" stoner mentality, though....people see marijuana users as just vegetating on a couch. I go ride my bike (15-20 miles), hang out with friends, try and stay active...

  • inactive, on 07/22/2009, -1/+2Wait wait. I'm not telling people to use marijuana. I'm definitely not telling them to SMOKE (Consuming orally is best, and vaporizing is not detrimental to your health).

    But the fact is, people are going to USE DRUGS. Most will use alcohol. Others will use pain pills.

    But it would be favorable from a public health standpoint if marijuana use went up and other drug use went down.

    We can't just bury our heads in the sand and hope people won't use drugs. Statistics don't lie. People will use drugs.
