- gumpy5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I want a Rorschach mask.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8well done, but I think it leans way too much on Sin City in terms of visuals and background music. Sin City and Watchmen have very different feels to them, so I really don't think the doom-jazz soundtrack of Sin City fits it very well.
Still, it's good stuff, I'd like to see more - joshcook83, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6cool stuff...probably much better than the movie will be.
- cprincipe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Watchmen would be best as a 12-part miniseries done on HBO. Bryan Singer or Sam Raimi should direct.
- kazem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Watchmen is an amazing book.
- PowerLlama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I think it would make a good Lost-esque TV series.
- bebop717, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Cool was just thinking the same, too much sin city influence, this is a completely different creature than sin city in terms of characters and story telling. I would be amazed if they went through and made watchmen movie but I think it's next to impossible to convert it to a movie, unless it's a trilogy, or tv mini series wither way there is no market for it other than fan boys. We can only dream.
- jla1987, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I'd really love to see the same people that made the video make a full movie version of the comics.
- capndan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I think there is a timing element to the diggs, such as a high diggs/minute indicating that a lot of people are seeing it and diggin it
so it gets tossed on the front page - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Sweet. Wish it was longer!
- Balanced, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Not bad, but I don't think this would translate as well as some mgiht think to a feature-length version of the Watchmen story.
Sure, for Rorschach the whole 'film noir' concept works, but then you've got a host of other characters whoa re very iconic of various different genres and eras of history. Dr. Manhattan is much more of the 'cosmic' style of some stories, while the Comedian's style changes throughout his career, from a laughable early 'costumed hero' in tights to a rather dark leather-wearing, gun-toting anti-hero. - djseligman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Um, direct douche.
- gothsquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I wish they wouldn't make it. It's an extremely long and involved book. They couldn't turn it into a decent trilogy, if you ask me.
- mrgreen4242, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That would be pretty cool. I'd probably sibscribe to that, if they did it in HD of course. I think Sam Raimi would pull it off the best, if the source material wasn't butchered up to badly.
- vjmurphy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Considering Combs did the voice of the Question on the Justice League Unlimited cartoon, it's not a great leap to think he'd do a good Rorschach.
- nukethewhales, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Whoa. Front page with 15 diggs.
- hpkomic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Is it just me or would Jeffery Combes the perfect voice for Rorschach? A kind of damaged intensity, as opposed to the sort of gargle here.
Regardless, it was pretty neat, definitely tapping a bit too much into Sin City though. - curupira, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QijL6PbUED8
Direct link. - johnkalel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0gee, 1/3 of the video was credits.
yeah, wayyy too SIN CITYesque. One trip to that well in the movies is just perfect. Any more than that, nah.
ANY adaptation of WATCHMEN will be incomplete. We already had our once-in-a-lifetime, mostly-not-botched (alas, Tom Bombadill!), book-to-screen adaptation in Jackson's LOTR trilogy, and there, we had true fans at the helm. If an adaptation of W is done as "another job, another paycheck", it will suck. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0That was so short, what's the point?
- kevin.gc, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1How did this get front page with 16 diggs?
