- CloanLabs, on 11/10/2008, -0/+0I saw Sebastian some months ago and then watched all his animation I could find. Joaquin is a genius, probably the finest animator of his generation. He was my inspiration to begin making my own animations, and I still watch his to learn (but I always get lost in the story and forget that I'm supposed to be taking notes and picking up little hints and tricks. That's how good he is.)
I felt like a right bastard entering my own first animation in the aniBOOM contest to run against Sebastian. Sebastian deserves first place. There are a lot of good vids in the contest, but his is the only animation (besides the hopelessly hopeful part of Secret of Nimh) that has ever made me cry.
You go, Sebastian! We're happy to play second fiddle to you! - amarigon, on 09/25/2008, -0/+0Great animation! Lurv it! Go Joaquin!

- RussianX, on 10/18/2008, -0/+0This movie is awesome :) You're getting so many feeling in this shortfilm, and that's not easy. Great effort!
One of my favorite shortmovies. - givn2fly, on 09/25/2008, -0/+0Great story and very well executed. The animation is great.
- natmu, on 10/24/2008, -0/+0If someone told me that a creepy, animated voodoo doll in a setting similar to something in the movie thriller HOSTEL or SAW was capable of showing a sensitive story line of self sacrifice and love that pulls at my heart strings; I would never think that is possible until now. I was left wanting to see more. The animation and detail were remarkable, but equally was the deep, soulful story line.
Thank you for captivating me with your brilliant and original short films.
NATMU - inactive, on 09/25/2008, -0/+0I discovered Joaquin's amazing animations on YouTube and followed his link to his website. I became an immediate fan. His work and imagination is truly awesome and unique in creativity. The stories have so much heart. Thank you, good luck and by all means keep up the work and never give up trying. Best wishes from NYC
