- 80onelove, on 11/26/2008, -1/+12The brother-sister relationship between Paul and Alia in Dune thoroughly creeped me out.
- Skooma714, on 11/27/2008, -1/+10No Adamas?
Also "Only matriarch Angela Petrelli (wife of Arthur and apparent mother of Nathan, Peter, and Sylar) stays out of the attempted murder racket,"
Uhh, as of Episode 8 she is in on it like everyone else.
"Arthur, I lied...That wasn't your mother's recipe." - slagmacg, on 11/27/2008, -1/+10Dugg for Dr. Venture thumbnail.
Dean looks like this teste is ready to pop. - bmfs, on 11/27/2008, -1/+9no wiggins? really?
- T8erT0T, on 11/27/2008, -0/+8dugg for Sandman
- FearlessFreep, on 11/27/2008, -0/+8No mention of The Fry family? Yeah, they got along but the family tree is a mobius strip
- GeeksSpeakFont, on 11/25/2008, -1/+7oh those skywalkers and their dysfunctional force wielding!
- slundal, on 11/27/2008, -0/+6No Fry from futurama? He's his own grandfather and lives with his great, great........great nephew.
- BananaStickers, on 11/27/2008, -0/+6Dugg for Endless, best anthropomorphic, pans dimensional, dysfunctional family ever.
- jarjarwang, on 11/27/2008, -1/+6No Heinlein? Time traveling so you can marry your mom?
- aaronized, on 11/27/2008, -0/+4Any family in the science fiction genre is obligated to be dysfunctional.
- BillDoor, on 11/27/2008, -0/+4Absolutely, I wonder who Will and Penny will be having sex with when they hit that age ?
- schrutefan, on 11/27/2008, -0/+3Damn, I was trying to forget that Heroes ever existed.
- LAMinator, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3No [insert name of sci-fi family here]?
- Chairboy, on 11/27/2008, -0/+3They aren't dysfunctional. They're SUPERfunctional.
Angelina's just... enthusiastic. - polalion, on 11/27/2008, -0/+3Was gonna say that. How they forget to mention a family like that is appalling.
- malex, on 11/27/2008, -0/+3I came here to say what you just said.
- Firespray1138, on 11/27/2008, -0/+3Dugg for the Skywalkers, Connors, Petrellis, and Summer Glau.
- danconia, on 11/28/2008, -0/+2I think the Ventures work well as a Quest family substitute. If you'd ever watched the VB then you'd know what I mean. Easily best cartoon on TV.
- sinrtb, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2Thank you I was going to say the same thing.
- Clbull, on 11/27/2008, -1/+3No Jetsons?
- itsthehumidity, on 11/27/2008, -1/+3Don't you ever badmouth Brock Samson.
- MakanGuru, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2The Endless are considered Sci-Fi? seriously? I always thought they were considered Fantasy
- Kaickul, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2I second that.
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2me too malex...i thought they'd be #1.
- wallish, on 11/28/2008, -0/+2Is it just me or do a few of them look different? I'm referring specifically to Death, Delirium, and maybe Dream a little.
- inactive, on 11/29/2008, -0/+2Exactly. Buried for not even pointing out the MOST dysfunctional family in entertainment ever, especially scifi.
- BlakkSheep, on 11/28/2008, -0/+2Anyone read "Time Enough for Love"?
- SteveTheCougar, on 11/27/2008, -1/+2The Neary family from Close Encounters of the Third Kind??? Their kids were out of control. The wife... a whiny bitch. And the dad... playing with mashed potatoes, building a mountain of trash in the living room, and finally deserting his entire family to go cruising with aliens?! Buried.
- Remelox, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1The Endless exist in the DC Universe. Kind of a matter of perspective.
- xGeneric, on 11/27/2008, -1/+2What about the Winchesters from Supernatural?
- LtAction, on 11/27/2008, -1/+2Dugg for Venture picture.
- Remelox, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1"The Man Who Folded Himself". Sure, you could argue that Eakins is a family of one but you could also argue he is a family of two, or dozens, although my theory is three.
I guess I should throw "All You Zombies" in on that as well. - lillylibertine, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1I'm holding out for Spock's parents on the new Star Trek movie.
- NarutoRamen, on 11/28/2008, -1/+2Go Team Venture!
- thomasJamo, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1That's one of my favorite Heinlein books. Did you read "To Sail Beyond the Sunset"? Yeah, it's the sequel and its written from Maureen's point of view. It's even more graphic. I don't care how hot my mom might be, I just couldn't hit that, man.
- cddict1, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1Robinson might come back till them.
- Remelox, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1This article has to be the worst. I write all the time in my blogs and stories on-line and I can write about something a lot better than what was said in this article.
To say all of what Darth Vader did was stupid. Vader was evil. Despite our fussing in the home, the purpose of Thanksgiving is to reflect on what you have in your life. It is not without heartaches but we can be thankful just the same. To be bitter or hateful over the aspects of our lives will not change them or make them better. It is the hard work that we put into it that can change things in our lives.
Now that I have proved that I am a better writer than you, I can also say that the author is as well. And no, I do not think that either I or the author are particularly good .(Everyone is welcome to correct my spelling and grammar. You picky bastards.)
What I found most amusing about your post though, and the reason I chose to ridicule it, is how you appeared to be offended by it. So Darth Vader being evil gives him a pass on being a bad father? And then you spout some poorly dictioned rhetoric about the true meaning of a holiday invented by President Lincoln for essentially thinly veiled psychological reasons. Is your life so rigorous that it must rebel against some good natured and, as usual, poorly researched humor article on a web site devoted to slightly off-color satire?
Yeah, I know this post is more of a waste of my time than yours was for you but there is a wood shortage and we need you to remove that stick out of your ass. - uncertainty, on 11/27/2008, -3/+3No Robinsons?
- GerudoX, on 11/28/2008, -0/+0Dugg for even thinking of mentioning Venture Bros. It is a truly great show.
- amm785, on 11/28/2008, -0/+0Where's Ender? Where's Bean? Or is that steampunk? I mean, they have the most dysfunctional families I've ever seen, especially Bean. (The Orson Scott Card series is what I'm referring to.)
- starfishsystems, on 11/27/2008, -1/+1What about Space Family Robinson? Every episode is a variation on the same nightmare. While the rest of the family wanders around in complete denial, the ultra creepy party crasher Doctor Smith is busy coming up with new schemes to sell them all into slavery or whatever. Only little Billy sees it, and he is only able to confide in a robot whose powers are limited to waving its arms helplessly and intoning, "Danger, Will Robinson, Danger."
What part of this scenario is NOT dysfunctional? - n25an, on 12/03/2008, -0/+0black sheep the new zealand version... father killed by sheep... son A has phobia of sheep and son B.. well lets just say we know why the sheep go baaah.... baaahhh... baahhhh....

Spite our fussing in the home, the purpose of Thanksgiving is to reflect on what you have in your life. It is not without heart aches, but we can be thankful just the same. - MadOgre, on 11/27/2008, -3/+2List Fail: No DeGriz family from THE STAINLESS STEEL RAT series.
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -6/+4no johnny quest?
