The problem with trite little declarations of this sort is that they have no consequence - if the apple hadn't dropped in the near vicinity of Isaac or whatever this does not debar his thinking a great deal about gravity, he or any number of other physicists would have come up with hypotheses and theories by some other means. By the comic's logic every single action or event in history is the result of a chain reaction initiated by a single molecule. SFW?

I don't think it was a single, specific apple.
