- vassoom, on 10/21/2009, -6/+15It's about time someone turned that 3rd-rate fantasy novel into a comic book...

- Chooxo, on 10/21/2009, -4/+10People do say that to stop being a Christian you need only try reading the Bible.
I think this is even better: *show* the Bible, and don't sugar-coat it.
It's a nasty book! And no doubt the comic will be considered unsuitable for children, which is amazing, because it's just the Bible in graphical form, and most Christian families bizarrely have no problem with having that book on the bookshelf. - Murrabbit, on 10/21/2009, -1/+7Wait, R. Crumb is still alive?
- GalacticRerun, on 10/21/2009, -0/+5Eve got that thick booty.
- OutAndAbout, on 10/21/2009, -1/+5Yep, and he still finds time to do album covers.
http://rateyourmusic.com/lists/list_view?list_id=2 ... - nepidae, on 10/21/2009, -0/+4Because they are fiction?
- Locastus, on 10/21/2009, -0/+4My mate used to think that Mother Nature was God's girlfriend
- Mujokan, on 10/21/2009, -0/+4Pretty far out.
- Mujokan, on 10/21/2009, -2/+5Underground comics and the alternative press from the late 1960s and early 1970s are pretty strange and entertaining. Hopefully the publicity from this new book will lead to a few more people checking out all that stuff at the comic store.
Now that we are back to McCarthyism in politics, I sometimes wonder if there'll be a counter-reaction like they had in the 1960s. I guess history won't repeat that exactly, though. The right would have to make up a lot more lost ground in the culture wars to prompt such a big reaction. - Mujokan, on 10/21/2009, -0/+3Mine was Mr. Natural.
- swantamer, on 10/21/2009, -2/+5R. Crumb is really excellent, I hesitate to toss out the word "genius" because it is overworked, but if he isn't, he's pretty close. Find a copy of his "Art & Beauty" mag from Kitchen Sink Press, well worth the effort.
- Gusbob, on 10/21/2009, -5/+8I liked God. When I'm stuck at home as a kid he was one of my favourite imaginary friends. Santa and the Easter Bunny came close but God was the coolest one.
- teethandeyes, on 10/21/2009, -0/+2I love Aesop Rock, and this verse is awesome, but what does it have to do with R. Crumb?
- mrDanielC, on 10/21/2009, -2/+3Is it just me or did he use philosoraptor as reference for the Serpant?
http://raptureponies.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/d ... - daniel20441, on 10/21/2009, -0/+1Mid-October starts Crumb's promotion of Genesis in the USA. Where at should be easy to find! He has alot of years yet for more graphic novels. I just hope he does War And Peace.
http://www.robertcrumbcartoons.com - ohplease, on 10/21/2009, -1/+2Why is God Caucasian? Jesus wasn't.
- smashingmonkey, on 10/21/2009, -1/+1Those who digg me down are probably not getting the Crumb reference.
- inactive, on 10/22/2009, -1/+0No, that's what I know to be true. Has nothing to do with anyone else. Never did, never will. :)
Some day soon you will know also... - ZigZagZilla, on 10/21/2009, -1/+0Yes. And thank-you for stating your message so clearly and succinctly.
- Floobins, on 10/21/2009, -2/+1That's just what he wants you to think.
- smashingmonkey, on 10/21/2009, -5/+4How perfectly God-damned delightful it all is, to be sure.
- brickwall99, on 10/21/2009, -3/+2That's just what they want you to think.
Fixed. - KnowMad1982, on 10/21/2009, -7/+2"Christmas morning smelled fresher than angel pussy, but immaculate conception came second to playful goodies.

Just a lit fuse in the back of the pews, watching a thousand flavors of the same god feud. I figure ultimate peace is the common theme, so its a no-brainer "peace" when the blood hit the screen...
I got a basic good and evil sensibility born. Good neighbor knows a halo wouldn't fit over horns.
