Waking up and realizing it's 10am and you're late for school + then realizing it's Saturday and you don't have school. So you wake up anyways, pour yourself a big bowl of fruit loops and watch cartoons till your parents wake up.
In other words, Coraline sounds and looks to be AMAZING! - hnazareth16, on 09/16/2008, -0/+29The trailer looked disturbing, but I'm still super excited, because the book was amazing!
- valleyvideo, on 09/16/2008, -0/+27New Selick? Coming out in February?! SO there.
- gberkshire, on 09/16/2008, -0/+21I wish it was coming out THIS year!!
- AmyVernon, on 09/16/2008, -0/+19Remember when: "There's children throwing snowballs / instead of throwing heads / they're busy building toys / and absolutely no one's dead!"
- vango, on 09/16/2008, -0/+19dark - love it!
- jcorn1, on 09/16/2008, -0/+17Gaiman -Yesssss!
- mrfuzz, on 09/16/2008, -0/+12Maybe they'll do limited screenings to qualify for awards consideration.
- inactive, on 09/16/2008, -0/+11pretty good!
- electricwaffles, on 09/16/2008, -0/+10Coraline's a helluva drug.

- waxenpi, on 09/17/2008, -0/+5obligatory "it'd be cool to work there" post
- darthsand, on 09/17/2008, -0/+5henry selick is one handsome beaver
- kingjafee, on 09/17/2008, -2/+6animated movies are the only mainstream things being made worth our money consistently
except the Dark Knight - darkmotion, on 09/17/2008, -0/+4Laika studios is making some fantastic stuff. Great to see them still pushing traditional mediums!
- inactive, on 09/16/2008, -0/+4what trailer?
- Iatethecrayon, on 09/17/2008, -0/+4This movie looks really good. I've been following it for a while because Laika seems like it's really up and coming. I'd love to work there. Henry Selick seems like a really creative guy. James and the giant Peach was cool, and this book adaptation probably will be too!
- joy2k9, on 09/17/2008, -0/+4excited!
- redrighthand, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3Saw about 15 minutes of this at the Portland Creative conferene 2 weeks ago. A must see for sure but very creepy premise.
- guhpol, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3Cool!
- HexiumVII, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3Dakota is going to be in this. It's going to be great!
http://www.dakotacountdown.com - Velocity14, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3I got to tour the Laika studios here in Portland, OR... When I was there, they reviewed the week's progress... What little I saw was intriguing, compelling, and pretty outstanding. It was really insane to see the hand-crafted sets they use -- the house alone was as tall as I was. All the sets with the camera rigs and replacement jaws for the characters... It's such a fantastic representation of style and hard work. Gush, gush, gush, gush. They're doing great stuff in that there studio.
Golly. Things like this really make me excited that I'm an animator. - robopuppy, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3thanks for the link, looks cool, but then again as a sandman fan I expected that with neil gaiman!
- inactive, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3Makes my 8th grade stop motion project with raisins spelling out words look absolutely pathetic. Sweet!
- inactive, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3i cannot WAIT for this movie to come out.. i am beyond excited.. NEIL GAIMAN FTW
- Battlecry, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3'YOUR a star!"
Bwahahaha! - worseforwine, on 09/17/2008, -1/+3It is about time someone remakes E.T.
- pingpants, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2Coraline was recently re-released but as a hardcover graphic novel w/ illustrations by P. Craig Russell. It's really cool. If you liked Sandman....
- kingfoot, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2win
- darknihilist, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2It is.
- HexiumVII, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2No, your a star!
- trademork, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2While I really hope this movie turns out to be good, the trailer that came out a while back looked bland, derivative and amateurish. Let's hope Travis' Dad's investment pays off.
- NoozeHound, on 06/02/2009, -0/+1BY now you will be disappointed (if you are anything like me) that they completely bollocksed the book in order that the director got to make his view. My daughter and I were woefully disappointed.
Why?
Who the ***** is Whyby? - sittered, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1Also it's snowing.
- semerson98, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1Will be an incredible film!
- inactive, on 09/17/2008, -1/+1They need a "Bury for slideshow" option. This is good content, but poor presentation.
