        I'm very confused by the people who waste their time by clicking on these discussions just to say they don't like them. Why waste your time? Why are you angry that many people on this site enjoy this comic? And, in all honesty, I most likely would not read this comic on a regular basis if it was not on the front page of digg. That's how I heard about it in the first place, and I'm sure the same goes for many more people on here.

Instead of realizing that your strategy is NOT WORKING, and you really aren't a leader, as you don't have enough mass following you, you continue to try, try, try again, instead of try, try, try a different way.

      Ironically, I'm probably doing the exact same thing. I doubt it will work :)

    • Starch, on 05/14/2008, -2/+4My biggest problem with XKCD is this (hear me out): I honestly do not find it worth the click. 99% of the stuff that makes it to the top of Digg is usually interesting or funny or whatever. But I always click on the comic just to SEE if this is the one that makes me laugh, and it never is. As Pottersquash says below, most of us to some degree or another rely on sites like Digg to deliver the goods. So in a way, Digg has failed me and continues to fail me every time XKCD makes the front page. Or maybe its just me - XKCD could be the my so-called 'geek line-in-the-sand'.

I do not need to bookmark xkcd and check every MWF, Digg does it for me and and reminds me it has been updated, digg tells me cracked is updated, digg tells me the escapist is out. Digg also lets me know if yesterdays South Park or Daily Show was any good. So quit complaining!!! Its not as if the digging of a few dailie is making it so you get less content, regularly publicated sites serve to remind diggers, old and new, the kind of stuff we enjoy and when you find something xkcd-ish or list-ish that is new, the delicious carrot that is 500 diggs and front page glory is your incentive to tell the world

    I used to do the same thing in MarioKart, but just to show off. The problem is I did it with Wario, and if you brake too early you won't accelerate in time to claim your first place. Specially true in 150cc.

    One day, he attempted to do this exact thing to me (stop right before the finish line), and right as I was rounding the final corner (we were both sitting on the floor), I yanked his controller out of its socket and won the game.

    I don't think he ever did it again after that.
