This puts the song Bug Bunny sings at the end of Fresh Hare into context for some.
"'I Wish I Was in Dixie' is a popular song about the South. It was written by composer Daniel Emmett, a Northerner, and published in 1859. A blackface minstrel-show troupe debuted the song that same year in New York City.

The song became the unofficial anthem of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War. This and the tune's minstrel-show origins have created a strong association of "Dixie" with the Old South. As a result, some today view the song as offensive and racist." - TheWalkingDude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5These are more difficult to download, but here are about 1,000 full length cartoons (it's an ad-free page, and there are no junk links, fan vids, or short clips):

Here are a bunch of Bugs Bunny cartoons I have yet to sort through and put into the above index:
http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/search/bugs%20bunny/1 - smithco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4There's a whole bunch of these in the public domain now. If you're really into these, check out the two podcasts, ReFrederator (http://www.refrederator.com/) and Vintage ToonCast (http://www.renmenven.org/tooncast/tooncast.html). Old WB cartoons are shown on these from time to time.
Gotta love the public domain and gotta love podcasts :) - zephc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6My name is Ewmer J. Fudd, miwwionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht.

- TyrannousDotNet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2or you could just go here..... out of copyright movies and media, there are plenty of vintage cartoons...

- JRPereira, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Damn, I was hoping they included invasion of the bunny snatchers. Not that it was one of the earlier or classic episodes, but the scene with daffy using synchro vox was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

I'm glad someone kept the original versions of these cartoons, they did cut up a lot of these classic WB toons in the 80s and remove materials where they thought kids would emulate.
- BlackCow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't get what they mean by the "racist ending" What so bugs final wish is to sing with them, except they look all weird like gofers or something. I don't get it, anyone care to explain?
