Hasn't anyone here ever read a comic? Seen one of the Bourne movies? Put simply: until they plop Bruce Waynes cold, lifeless and eviscerated body on a morgue table somewhere, he isn't dead. No body = not dead. As it was mentioned in the comic, Batman prepares for everything, so he actually adopted another superhero persona to deal with his psychosis. For all we know the appearance of Bruce Wayne's father could actually be Bruce himself. Paging Dr. Freud!

I've read a bit of the Batman RIP series and I have to say, it is a story that should just be erased from the memories of DC and act like it doesn't exist. killing off Captain America is one thing, but killing off Bruce Wayne? now thats just dumb. esspecially with the success of Dark Knight, anyone that picked up a batman comic because of that movie will now put it back down because to them it won't make any sense "umm...why isn't it Bruce Wayne in the batsuit, isn't that who batman is?"

I've never been able to get into any DC on more than a one-off basis, because every comic with Batman or Superman in it seems to exist in it's own independent world, absent of any continuity. Anyway, I'm sure Super-Mega Crisis is right around the corner to bring batman back from the dead
