- jingwei, on 12/24/2008, -0/+18That early rosarch sketch is disturbing.
What with the flashing and all. - redgiemental, on 12/24/2008, -1/+16A wonderful gift to the world that happens to come in the form of a comic. One of the best and most complete works of fiction in any medium in my opinion.
- Hetman, on 12/24/2008, -0/+9I am half way through the book right now. It has been great so far. I cannot wait to finish it tonight.

BABIES! - Erock, on 12/25/2008, -0/+6Definitely one of the best comics I have ever read! Can't wait for this movie to come out.
- Checkerd, on 12/24/2008, -0/+5Only 72 days, 3 hours, 4 minutes, and 40 seconds to go. I think I'll re-read the book again to pass the time.
- Ymeg, on 12/25/2008, -1/+6Rorschach is easily the best "super"hero in existence.
Or The Question as the antagonist. Very similar, imo. - etaubeneck, on 12/25/2008, -1/+6more of an anti-hero...
- Leprenomichaun, on 12/25/2008, -1/+6Ummm, it came out over twenty years ago.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watchmen - abettername, on 12/25/2008, -0/+3lol @ Rorschach
- empiricalKing, on 12/25/2008, -0/+3I'm about halfway through and I love it!
- JerkNowitzki, on 12/25/2008, -0/+3Is Watching the Watchmen worth getting? Opinions??
- badmonkey6186, on 12/25/2008, -0/+3He said comics, not comic book movies.
- smokesteam, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3Its a great comic and I'm looking forward to the movie. I still remember waiting for each issue to come out back in the 80s. That really was a great time for American comics!
- whatthefu, on 12/25/2008, -0/+3And the naked Rorschach later on.
- dalittle, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3They did not expect a giant squid?
- ElectricKetchup, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3I was thinking about getting Ultimate Watchmen... Is Watching the Watchmen better?
- Mujokan, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2Why would they then be working together next year if Moore hated him?
I think I know how Moore feels. Sometimes there is a subject where it is just too stressful, partly because you have a lot to say, but it won't change anything, and it'll hurt the relationship, so you'd rather just leave it unsaid. - Mujokan, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2They were British, though. Part of the "British invasion" that came of out 2000AD, which had some amazingly inventive and imaginative work in it -- including Alan Moore's Halo Jones, but lots of other stuff -- e.g. Nemesis, Slaine, not to mention the more conceptual Judge Dredd strips. But the 1980s was a great time for American artists too -- that was the heyday of the graphic novel, with lots of brilliant work published by Fantagraphics, while guys from the first wave of alternative comics like Art Spielgelman, Robert Crumb, Gilbert Shelton, were still around to add to the mix. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Invasion_%28c ...
- danconia, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2It's a pit they've changed the ending...
- Origin415, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2The full body suit was definitely not in the book :/
Are they adding a flashing scene to the movie? - smokesteam, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2Rorschach was a disturbing character in the book anyway.
- Mujokan, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2Maybe you mean model or archetype or progenitor or something rather than antagonist? Anyway I agree that he's at least up there in the top ranks of all time.
- etaubeneck, on 12/25/2008, -0/+2err... did you see this:
http://digg.com/movies/Judge_Says_Fox_Owns_Rights_ ... - AddictedtoAOTS, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2Obviously you have NOT read Watchmen or even heard of the movie...
- LimeParrot, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2Dude it's got an awesome ending. Good for you!
- Nephlabobo, on 12/25/2008, -2/+3Dave Gibbons is a sellout. Alan Moore asking him not to talk to him about Watchmen is clearly indicative of this.
- ThunderKitty, on 12/25/2008, -0/+1You gotta jump when you hear it...thats what the base is for.
- smokesteam, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1You are right. Maybe I shoulda said "That was a great time for American comics readers!"
- smokesteam, on 12/26/2008, -1/+2You might want to look into Alan Moore's relationship with his publishers and with Hollywood a bit more. He might be a great writer and story teller, but he's also not a nice person sometimes.
- joshuajudah, on 01/01/2009, -0/+1hahaah
- Blashy, on 12/26/2008, -2/+3I was really disappointed by the Novel, bought it this year and was not impressed at all. I was literally bored all the way through.
I like how he compares it to Citizen Kane... because I HATE that movie, one of the all time best snoozers for me. Funny cause when I look at most of the other 100 best of all time movies I pretty much agree with it, but Kane was horrid. - Ymeg, on 12/25/2008, -2/+2Y/N
Y - thePTS, on 12/25/2008, -3/+2hmm.. did you read the book?
- thePTS, on 12/26/2008, -3/+2Read it again.
- johnjohn71, on 12/25/2008, -5/+1Buried! :)
- ABreeman, on 12/25/2008, -7/+1"I don't think we ever thought that we were going to produce the Citizen Kane of comics," Gibbons confessed in a lengthy interview with Wired.com.
That seems like a bold statement considering it isn't even out yet. - euphoria860, on 12/25/2008, -9/+2***** you
