- corevette, on 10/12/2007, -2/+39hmmm i think its pretty entertaining now
- Nitro187, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30Check out these guys, they dressed up as Yip Yip's for hallowe'en. :)

- Firemeboy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+33I miss the sequences that involved that poor chef who was forced to take a pile of cakes or pies equal to the 'number of the day' down a set of stairs. The stairs must have been coated with lard or ice because he slipped every time.
Ah, the good ol' days. - ryan4477, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27all diggers are amazing! you are amazing too!

Drugs or not, Henson and friends knew exactly how to connect with kids on their level. - scooterDave, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19Thats for the post. My 2 year old son laughed his ass off watching it.
Yip Yip Yip Yip... - hannahmar, on 06/11/2009, -3/+15So cute. This is was my favorite show as a kid :)
- Sharkee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10See, it's totally possible to create good, simple comedy that can be enjoyed by all ages. I also enjoy crude, adult humor too though, of course.
- chaosmachine, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11this used to scare the ***** out of me when i was a little kid.
- kevindoc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9great find!
dont forget the scene with..."raaaadio...yip yip yip....raaaadio"... - poracious, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Totally. Digg is being entertained by media that was targetted at toddlers while WE were toddlers. Such a sad, sad thing that we all remember and love our past, ain't it?

- gameguy43, on 10/12/2007, -7/+13creativity does not require drugs. as an artist, i am personally offended by this assumption.
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Im pretty sure that was the muppet show. But either way it's still a Jim Henson show.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I haven't seen that in forever and it had me rolling.

- oogee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Here's the most demented sesame ever!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=qYaArMDA1ZE
We all learned so well from sesame because we watched it all day and had nightmares about it all night. This method effectively doubled the time we spent learning. - kevspace, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Oh man, me too! The martians terrified me. I don't even know why, exactly, but they did, they scared me so much. In fact, I wasn't so much afraid of the dark, as certain that whenever it WAS dark, the martians were always right behind me, watching me, trying to figure out what I was. Brrrr.
- Kewima, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I cannot believe that this somehow found its way back to me. Until now I only had a seemingly random desire to say "yip-yip-yip" whenever I saw a phone. Finally I remember it all again! Definitely a formative experience for anyone who watched it as a child. Thank-you!
- apetrie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Polkaroo rip off!! *ducks*
- TheZorch, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I was at Oliver Wendal Holmes Elementary in Detroit, MI when Jim Henson's people put on a show with these guys in the gym. I still remember that day despite how long ago it happened. He was a genius, a man who had a strong grasp on his inner child and brought a lot of smiles to faces of children around the world.

- cr125er, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I can't recall what I thought of Sesame Street, I just know I watched it as a kid. The smile on my face the whole way through is a testament to its genius.
- EmmSee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this made my day... yip yip yip
- DephexTwin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2My little sisters were born in the mid-80s and I am almost certain they still had the Yip-Yips when they watched the show.
- Tyr7BE, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5"creativity does not require drugs. as an artist, i am personally offended by this assumption."
As a normal person, I am telling you you need to lighten up. - slamm6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Who's your friend when things get rough ?
- illt, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5sure helps though in some cases.
- NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Probably about five years ago.
- rodgerdodger5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I can't believe how vividly I remember this. So long ago! Dugg!
Come to think about it, I watched a lot of strange crap when I was little. No wonder I am so messed up. Electric Company was another Sesame Street like show I watched and also H.R. PufnStuf. Just catch the drug references in the theme song.

The one that really got me was Karen Black short on Night Gallery with little Zuni warrior doll that had a gold chain when it fell off the little thing came alive. It got a steak knife and ran around her apartment trying to get her. If this scared you when you were little, you can rent it at Blockbuster in "Karen Black - Trilogy of Terror" - DONT LET YOUR KIDS WATCH THIS.
Here he is...

I had nightmares about that thing for months. It was everywhere. Under the car seat, in closet, under bed...etc. -
