      It's actually a great school, 10% of the graduating class goes to Georgia Tech each year. We had one of the best Math teams in the nation.

I know jongos probably didn't intend it, but it's not fair to cite this as strictly "black culture." Black culture is a complicated and diverse thing just like "white culture" and "latino culture" or whatever you want to say. The truth is these phrases are meaningless since culture is primarily a localized societal byproduct. I feel it would be more accurate to call this "inner city culture", but even that probably isn't exactly accurate ("Hip-Hop culture" maybe?). The point is that there are black, white, Hispanic, and Asian young men who act and talk this way, and what they have in common is a certain atmosphere and/or social exposure growing up. Anyone can learn behavior from one another regardless of skin color. I understand jongos misinterpretation here though, because the auto-segregation that Americans have imposed on themselves for decades can often give the illusion that race is something other than just skin color.

      tl;dr - It's a cultural divide, and culture is, in fact, color blind so it's silliness to pull race into the issue beyond claiming a certain majority in the group. Of course, giving a label like "black culture" to it is just outright.

There are a lot of poets and rappers who use slang and well... speak from the heavens, but their numbers are decreasing. Making new words to express things or playing with language itself can be a good thing. Tolkien invented a bunch of languages in his youth and is applauded for it. At the same time young people need to be able to communicate. That is what rap is or WAS (another topic) about using your words to express yourself. In flowing with the beat several lyrical tools are utilized such as rhyme meter and metaphor. A lot of slang comes into being to fit the rhyme, and that's okay as long as you know what your doing.
