- Mersonix, on 09/24/2009, -0/+49Am I the only one who thought that this wasn't funny?
Damn...
I didn't even smile. - JoeParanoid, on 09/23/2009, -0/+20Great "pie" chart.
- DirtPile, on 09/24/2009, -1/+15How are babby names formed?
- Turious, on 09/24/2009, -0/+13I don't even really get it.
- commiecat, on 09/24/2009, -1/+11"Y'all named your daughter after *****' Titanic?!"
"...it's Cassie's favorite movie"
"Wow, you gotta be *****' me. What's his name? *****' Shrek?"
-kenny powers - amitait, on 09/24/2009, -1/+11What's wrong with digg?
Is it just me or more and more stories with less than 100 diggs come to the front page? - serif69, on 09/24/2009, -0/+9Planned Parenthood.
- capheine, on 09/24/2009, -0/+8Video game characters.
I'm naming my first daughter Aeris Chun-Li and my first son Kratos Masterchief. - DirtPile, on 09/24/2009, -0/+4My first name is Hitlerballs.
- Greengoo, on 09/24/2009, -0/+4My best friend growing up's name was Logan. It pissed me off, he always got to be Wolverine when we played Xmen pretend games. And this other guy always got to be Cyclops. I had to settle for like, freaking Iceman.
It sucked. - DirtPile, on 09/24/2009, -0/+3Where the hell do you work?
- goodthinkful, on 09/24/2009, -0/+3Don't these clueless parents realize that the poor kid is going to be sent to Carousel when he hits 30?
- RachelJTM, on 09/23/2009, -0/+3ehhhh - - queeezzyy after seeing this-
- Mersonix, on 09/24/2009, -2/+4Yeah, it's not really relevant to me or particularly anyone on digg.
I understood our demographic was 15-45 year old single males (primarily) and not new parents...
Well, the Russian bit was alright cause I can relate a little... but...
damn...
I see the attempt at humor, i understand it, it's just not funny. - DarthVolta, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1This is a weekly feature in the Onion.. it's usually just a bunch of non-sequiturs. It's one of those things that I enjoy reading and am entertained by, though it doesn't usually make me laugh out loud.
- geoboy, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1They need to do way instain mother> who name thier babbys. It was on the news this mroing a mother in ar who named her kid "Onion". My pary are with the father; I am truley sorry for your lots.
- Frodoholic, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1You never even explicitly said it in your post either. And it's hardly a situation since I see kids of all races with apostrophes. Yes, it i probably more highly concentrated in the black population, but definitely not exclusive.
It's just really difficult trying to teach kids how to spell their names with non-letters. - Hood15, on 09/29/2009, -0/+1Wow.... can you like either not leave words out, not leave letters out, or not post?
- lisaawesome, on 09/24/2009, -1/+2What about references and characters found in Quentin Tarantino films?
- protodon, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1This is strange because I know a lot of people that have been naming their sons Logan. And it's totally unrelated to Wolverine. Believe me, I ask every time.
- juraj, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1Good move on mentioning The Onion in description. Now there'll be no "lol it had me till i saw its onion" comments.
- jurbania, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1Meatloaf
- bashnu, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1Who here does not have a name related to religion?
- caffiendkitten, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1aww The Onion how you amuse me
- VoteJoe, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1You're old.
- Frodoholic, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1I work with pre-k kids in the city and some of these kids' name are pretty crazy. Are there legal issues with the apostrophes and dashes in the middle of first names?
- numberneal, on 09/23/2009, -0/+1you'll know in the next life
- johnnyagentzero, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1Proof how much the Onion hits and misses.
- inactive, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1It wasn't funny at all. Mainly because none of these are even remotely true.
- thickape, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1Nostalgic for the time before Gen Y took over the Onion staff.
- alex7575, on 09/24/2009, -2/+2I named my son Logan, after Wolverine from the X-men
- jerrdalton, on 09/24/2009, -0/+0Damn good point, bashnu. Never thought of it that way.
- DirtPile, on 09/24/2009, -2/+2This is because we're approaching the nadir of western civilization. Nothing to smile about.
- jerrdalton, on 09/24/2009, -0/+0And, we're so f'ing Politically Correctarded in this country that you couldn't even say which people are naming their children these stupid names while we all know exactly who. THAT is insane.
(Not picking on you. Picking on the situation.) - jerrdalton, on 09/24/2009, -0/+0I can imagine that it is. :) Well, good for you for hanging in there with them. You probably have more patience than I.
- irishjays, on 09/24/2009, -4/+1Awww Onion that was cute, it's the effort that counts, good boy onion, goood boy
- Ascus, on 09/24/2009, -6/+1Argh. NSFW.
