cracked.com —As this video shows, the insane ideas behind some classic video games could have only come from one place, and it wasn't Nancy Reagan's America.
I think Baily was my favorite... Good work, Bails. I wonder how you got so in character...
Although Brett's "No, you ARE the frog!" was a close second. And he definitely was rocking that mustache.
This was gold. What's great is Nolan Bushnell has admitted that the Atari gang back in the day was a lot of partying and figuring it out as you go along.
It had it's moments, but the acting and costumes took away from the believability. Comedy has to be believable or else it's just dumb. Unless they're trying to be completely, entirely, unbelievable, which this wasn't. Following along those lines was the fact that they only came up with names of real games not bad concepts that never made it. The "prototype" NES controller? In it's final design 5 years ahead of time? This is all just setting aside the whole Japan / USA thing.
I can't help myself, though. Pac Man was originally named Puck Man, but they thought (rightfully so) that we kids would change the name into something else, quite easily.
