- seanvox, on 10/11/2007, -4/+150this is so fake, why is the audio so good for security cameras?
- thepompano, on 10/11/2007, -3/+143Probably some stupid unrelated viral marketing campaign.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+140Such good audio and video for a surveillance camera!
- Tayls, on 10/11/2007, -2/+104Yeah, the lack of ANY profanity really drives the realism home.
- domataos, on 10/11/2007, -4/+101Wow, and it seemed so real. /sarcasm
- sicapitan, on 10/11/2007, -5/+54STEVE BALMER LOL
- OatmealBatman2, on 10/11/2007, -2/+36Agreed. Real people cuss more and yell less.
- zombietuba, on 10/11/2007, -7/+36uh, what the hell are you people talking about? this isn't funny at all, but it should be, because it's entirely fake.
what a waste of time. - Thater, on 10/11/2007, -0/+24http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6VIo6_0l24
The Youtube video shows the ending... it's for donthaveameltdown.com which is obviously some gimmicky viral marketing for a phone or something. Funnily they didn't do a good job of advertising anything because I still have no idea what brand it's for. - aywwts4, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27Folgers Instant Coffee.
- FrozenGonad, on 10/11/2007, -3/+24Not to my taste either. If it was actually real, that would be different.
- latz, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22Why is there even sound on it? Usually it is not allowed to record sound on security cameras, well at least that's the case in europe.
Anyway looks fake and probably is fake. - rhinopig, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19Electrical sockets
- burkay, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17No, it is totally staged.
1. It is edited.
2. The audio is unnaturally clear, we can even hear him speaking on the phone and all cameras his voice level is the same.
3. Normally the security guard would talk to him and escort him out of the lobby once he raised his voice.
4. Check 1:45, the laptop the girl is using is not even logged on.
5. Check 1:54, he drops two coffee holders on the ground, both metallic. We hear only one loud bang like a single pistol shot.
They should be jumping off the floor at least once and making a lot of noise. Plus, the couple in front of him, they are not
the least bit scare by the sound. If that sound happened 2 feet behind me, I would be ***** my pants.
6. See around 2:01 where his case opens and everything falls to the ground. See how he handles the case with two hands
on both sides when he is lifting it. He knows that it will open.
need more? - DelSolMan, on 10/11/2007, -5/+19Everyone in the comment system works for CSI. Yay.

- LiquidIse, on 10/11/2007, -6/+19The last about 3 second remind me of the Terrible Terry Tate series.
- mapryan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Who cares? It isn't very well done or very funny.
- chrisdrums2, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12wow. fake. and dumb. double bonus.
- Ajax1022, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9"Terrible" is his nickname. Notice how Liquidlse capitalized it.
- drewgots, on 10/11/2007, -6/+14faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake buried as lame
- kindrobot, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Bill Brasky.
- DaysInTheDark, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9"Try to imagine how much it would cost to make this video."
-uh, not very much. it's pretty straightforward with ***** acting.
"Why would anyone make this completely anonymously?"
-ever heard of viral marketing?
"It promotes nothing. It serves no purpose at all other than to entertain you for free."
-see above.
You hear no other conversation except those close to the mic'd actors or other necessary statements like 'better call security' - HabboX, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Pretty lame for a "performance."
- urbandistrict, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Lame = Bury
- FadieZ, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11Not to mention the girl getting thrown on the chair, that was way too fake for it to be a real video
- tofslie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7About as Viral and funny as a free turd.
- Grandk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Why do people digg crap like this??
- paku, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6http://www.donthaveameltdown.com/
It's officially fake and lame. - ChayD, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5/unimpressed..fire the marketing guys, totally unrealistic.
- pengas, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Hi, I am Iaian,
just wanted to apologize for not showing up on time... - EochaidRiata, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4http://www.donthaveameltdown.com/
Heh, this guy just wrote 20 paragraphs defending this viral video. He must work for them. Who else would put so much effort into arguing a point that can be disproved with one Google search? - mablco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4this is so lame.
- diggerphelps, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3"Total: a minimum of about $69,000 for an ANONYMOUS film that promotes NOTHING."
$69K is not much for a big company like, oh say, I don't know, Cisco? - math0ne, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Its for Cisco's Unified Communicattion Servcie...
- threepm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3fake.
- psygnisfive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7Ok seriously this was on the video front page 11 hours ago:

Can we not promote dupes for more than half a day? Is that too much to ask? - diggerphelps, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Can somebody please tell me what the ***** the site is advertising, so I know to avoid the product forever.
- Darkhacker, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3When was this building built, the 40s?! This is where the plug goes, right there!!!
I laughed my ass off at that part. - queenstarsha, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2fake.
could hear just the voices we needed to perfectly, cuts were too clean, ***** falling out of his bag unlikely, assistant saying "they've started without us!!??" in a chirpy high-pitched freaked-out voice at the end ruined it.
still. amusing. reminds me a little of the boss that made me really *****' delighted to get laid off. - xaaronreevesx, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5It reminds me of the dad from Little Miss Sunshine.
- krolls, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Everyone calm down about it not being realistic...
Who cares if you KNOW its fake, you still want to keep watching, its funny and holds your attention... there SHOULD be a brand name or something at the end however. There is also a landing site for this video... that puts it in context.
No one ever claimed this was a real security video. Its like saying I am totally calling GIECO out because its not a real Gecko talking about car insurance - RobotCitizen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Fake and lame. Nice tackle, though.
- th3mail, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Is this an add for an opposing hotel or something?
- MannaPC, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I have to agree there... But on the note of the audio: I have been to a few hotels where they have audio and video monitoring all over the building.
I was at a Sleep Inn Valdosta where they had stickers on each door notifying people that they had some sort of audio monitoring system. Not to mention a huge T. V. behind the check in desk with all the cameras... They had a camera for each corridor, each special room (exercising, computer, etc) and then of course the pool. So, while this is obviously fake, some hotels actually do record that high quality of video and audio ;) - Crispin, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6Please please please bury this. It's obviously fake. The assistant is stiff and keeps waiting for her cue to talk. There's no profanity and you can clearly hear the main guy over everyone else even though the lobby is crowded. And even though this is supposedly shot with security cameras, the angles keep changing like it's been directed and produced professionally.
It's even more fake than the bride meltdown video. - maracle2, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5The goofy looking black guy sealed the deal for me, fake.
- Books, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Who gives a *****, fake or real....that was a pretty sweet tackle by the security guy. Had a feel of Madden to it, haha.
- johnburk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1omg! I just hired this guy!
