- silveravnt, on 06/19/2008, -6/+72Last line is the best "If I've convinced an entire populace that I drive a ***** Buick, I can sure as ***** sell a bottle of Pine-Sol."
- hammburglar, on 06/19/2008, -8/+30These comments are still horrible.
- Wonkanobi, on 06/19/2008, -15/+33These comments are horrible.
- luke374, on 06/19/2008, -5/+16Noting that the comments in a thread are bad = good comment.
- inactive, on 06/18/2008, -14/+24I think the pine sol lady retired so pine sol is ripe for the picking for tiger lol.
- DoTheFandango, on 06/19/2008, -2/+12Hey article, looks like your comments can use a Tiger endorsement. No one seems to like them.
- inactive, on 06/19/2008, -12/+22These comments are horrible.
- Enasni1212, on 06/19/2008, -1/+9Know what else is irritating? The unfortunate practice of bitching about something that no one really cares about.
And yes, I know I'm being a hypocrite by saying that. Sue me. - mizatt, on 06/19/2008, -0/+5sounds like you're less interested in tiger woods and more interested in tiger's wood
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -2/+5Wow, that almost made me want to buy Pine-Sol.... and I don't even like golf!
AND I don't even clean my house! - TheKrillr, on 06/19/2008, -0/+3...that's.... what... she... said?
- mindfeck, on 06/22/2008, -0/+3I know, let's bury valid comments and just leave comments about the quality of comments. That's way more interesting.
- inactive, on 06/19/2008, -0/+2the onions web servers get crushed with tigers wallet ....
- inactive, on 06/19/2008, -2/+3What I want to know is how many ***** golf clubs and cars he has sold to justify that kind of endorsement money. The man hits a golf ball for a living. How tough would his life really be if he weren't also a bazillionaire?
- AmandaQ, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1I agree. I thought this was hilarious all the way through.
- xxacefirexx, on 12/23/2008, -0/+1I keep reading hoping they get better. They don't. Turn back while you can.
- brjndr, on 06/19/2008, -1/+2I thought his wife was a former nanny, not a supermodel.
- TheKrillr, on 06/19/2008, -2/+3and i doesn't afraid of burying you.
- TheKrillr, on 06/19/2008, -1/+2nothing like the scent of wood?
- mindfeck, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1Or what? If I don't love the Onion, will you send me lists from Cracked, Maxim, or some ripoff? Please, no.
Fine, I love the Onion. - xxacefirexx, on 12/23/2008, -0/+1It's a vicious cycle.
- danlowlite, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1I am inclined to agree with you, except, well, he's a spokesman; he put his face on a product and, therefore, tied himself with that product. It goes both ways. He's been tasteful, in that I haven't seen him in his boxer shorts like Jordan, but marketing is marketing.
I dislike professional sports intensely. That being said, he is pretty down to earth for a pro, but he's still a marketing wet dream. - inactive, on 06/19/2008, -9/+9He's made about 700 million in endorsements in the first 12 years of his pro career. Add roughly 100 million in tour winnings and a supermodel wife and you got yourself a pretty decent life.
- inactive, on 06/19/2008, -4/+4Satire or not - it is beyond me why the ***** anybody in their right mind gives half a ***** what tiger woods drives.
- Ibox, on 06/19/2008, -3/+3he drives golf balls.
- anubis2night, on 06/20/2008, -1/+1So what's with all the hate here on Digg for the article and the people that saw the humor? You people must either a.) be waiting for that stick up your ass removal surgery b.) can't tell humor with your head up your ass, or c.) your republicans please bury me your offense at my comments only proves your small mindedness and lack of humor or wit.
- Ibox, on 06/19/2008, -2/+1and yet again...
/mnbvc - BlkFlmTS, on 06/19/2008, -1/+0no longer funny, shut the ***** up already
- sparrowkc, on 06/19/2008, -7/+4Most Onion articles are just funny for the premise, and get old after the first few paragraphs. This was genius.
- katalysis, on 06/19/2008, -5/+2"they're hooked on Pine-Sol from the age of 5 until the day they die."
Best onion article I've read in a while. - funkytaco, on 06/19/2008, -8/+4Tiger sold me on the idea once he pitched the grimy tub commercial with the trademark fist pump. I can see that moving 3 million bottles easy.
- lolobabyy, on 06/19/2008, -8/+4actually i think Tiger-Berry scent would be most invigorating.
- hammburglar, on 06/19/2008, -5/+1you passed my test 4 comments up. by hopefully not digging it.
- inactive, on 06/19/2008, -8/+3yet someone replies to those comments oh the irony in your own statement...
/qwerty - calcio0fan, on 06/19/2008, -8/+314 majors*
- farcast, on 06/19/2008, -6/+1No more comments, please - nothing more to say here...
- crombenevolant, on 06/19/2008, -8/+3"Tiger-sol"
- DrummerAndrew, on 06/19/2008, -6/+1Wait.... he doesn't drive a Buick?
- travmatron86, on 06/19/2008, -7/+2This is made all the more hilarious, because I can absolutely picture an executive vice-president at Clorox reading this, and immediately calling Tiger Woods' manager up and demanding a meeting with him.
- orangester, on 06/19/2008, -9/+3I still don't understand the Gatorade - Tiger.
It tastes the exact same as regular Gatorade, only it comes in smaller bottles.
Nevertheless, good work by the Onion. - kinseyincanada, on 06/19/2008, -7/+1so ya these comments are still horrible
- Cruelapollo, on 06/19/2008, -17/+10And yet someone seems to always make a comment similar to your own, getting dugg up and yet not contributing anything.
/qq - vocalyouth, on 06/19/2008, -8/+1This is really funny, but it was also on the front page with nearly 300 diggs a month and a half ago. Enough with submitting repeat stories over and over again.
- kraftj, on 06/19/2008, -11/+3As funny as that is; it's probably true... Tiger could sell the ***** out of Pine-Sol.
- dafragsta, on 06/19/2008, -11/+2This is SOOOOO old.
- inactive, on 06/19/2008, -15/+6I clicked on this story, enjoyed reading it, and then thought to myself "hmm, while enjoyable, I don't think there is a good comment to be made about it." After reading some comments that others thought of, I can only conclude that my initial thoughts kicked ass.
- abran1984, on 06/19/2008, -13/+4When the football season starts again we're gonna see Peyton Manning endorsing every other product we see on TV
- ajwinder, on 06/19/2008, -14/+5This might be funny if:
A) The man wasn't so down to earth its not even funny
B) He hadn't just destroyed his knee in the spirit of competition
Theres a ton of people you could make fun of as far as their endorsements go. Tiger isn't one of them. When he penned his nike deal, he wanted assurances that they could have tasteful ads that weren't just shills for products. The latest commercial is certainly no exception. His commercials are all golf-related, even for the car commercials. The mans not a shill. -
