- megaton, on 07/17/2009, -4/+16Incidentally, Robitussin abuse is VERY similar. The active ingredient is dextromethorphan, and in high doses, has the same dissociative effects as PCP. (Not to mention causing lesions (read: literally, HOLES) in your brain, but that's another story...)
Lots of kids do it (I have many times, myself) and think it's safe (or relatively so), but it's not. If you're inclined to do it, I can't stop you, but please be safe about it.
Have a babysitter (for you, not your children! if you have kids, DON'T DO IT AT ALL, YOU PIECE OF ***** PARENT!), know what you're taking (additives in the different varieties can cause everything from liver failure to heart failure and brain damage), and don't take too much, or habitually.
