- YoWhatDaFuxUp, on 06/19/2009, -5/+15One other difference... Articles hit the front page of Reddit and then are submitted to Digg 2 days later.
- rnawky, on 06/19/2009, -1/+10Here's the difference. Reddit gets their material from other websites.
Digg gets their material from Reddit.
Digg users are lazy. Ever since you could add digg.com/ in front of any url, it makes posting Reddit material that much easier.
I wouldn't be surprised if Reddit added a "Submit to Digg" button to make it even easier. - diggyduggle, on 06/20/2009, -0/+8Guess I'm the only one who browses and enjoys both Reddit, and Digg. Also Fark, and Boingboing.
Digg me down for being a horrible person! - danthek54, on 06/19/2009, -3/+10no thats not the difference, the comment was stolen from reddit and was dugg down because the title of the post was different on the digg submission. the reddit one stated she dies 7 hrs later...thus making the statement funny.
- jasej1, on 06/19/2009, -4/+9Was that comment really that bad?
- gamebittk, on 06/19/2009, -2/+5The Reddit thread on this: http://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/8twas/whats_ ...
- jkoby, on 06/19/2009, -1/+4Let the invasion begin.
- mu0p, on 06/20/2009, -0/+3i see reddit as the smarter site that paints a good picture of what digg was before celebrity news, tabloid stories, and top ten lists invaded the once great site.
- uzair21, on 06/20/2009, -0/+3Please don't leave, we need you so much. If it weren't for you, Digg would have been dead.
- sonar1, on 06/19/2009, -0/+2It's interesting how the slightest bit of information in the headline makes this much of a difference. I'd love to see a direct comparison where the headline and comment read the same.
- roastedbagel, on 06/20/2009, -0/+2I use to dismiss Reddit, now it's my homepage. Plus I know that anything I see on Reddit will be on Digg's top 10 about 3 days later.
This was after Digg's conversion from technology to everything else. - VoteGOP, on 06/20/2009, -3/+4Pick a side! We're at war, *****!
- dborgir, on 06/21/2009, -0/+1I could have sworn I saw this on reddit first..
- crushfan, on 06/19/2009, -1/+2What this gentleman said.
- scarwars, on 06/20/2009, -1/+2What a horrible skin..
- detorn, on 06/20/2009, -0/+1comment dugg for girl dying making post funny.
- rednaxela825, on 06/20/2009, -0/+1CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH?
- roastedbagel, on 06/20/2009, -0/+1100% correct.
I've come to realize that all the content on Digg, which was previously on Reddit days earlier, is actually stuff originated/created/found by reddit members. NOTHING on digg is original.
Related fun fact. The site this image is hosted on, imgur.com....created by a redditor. - chadwalters23, on 06/20/2009, -2/+2We hate the word "really". And will not tolerate the word "was" at the beginning of any sentence.
- chemchris, on 06/19/2009, -5/+4bye digg. you belong to the american idol watching public now. it was fun while it lasted. ill be on reddit if you need me. all the best.
