- Visk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+62I just press the handicap button and the door holds itself open.
- archlich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+57whoah.
- musicfreak21, on 10/12/2007, -2/+48LOL. This reminds me of when I held the door for Keanu Reeves once. I held a door for him then he went through another door. Was kind of mad, but just to hear him talk made up for everything. He just really talks like he does in the movies in real life...its weird.
- da_bradler, on 10/12/2007, -1/+32You know what I really hate, when someone holds the door for you but your like 10-15 feet back so you have to like run to the door or else you'd seem like a jerk for making them hold it forever.
Universitys are really bad for door holding everybody is different and if you don't pay attention you might get smacked in the face by a door or a transvestite(don't ask) - pixelmixer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25Interesting. Living on a college campus I've wondered what kind of unspoken door opening etiquette exists between door opener and openee.
- Jofaba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21hell, I laughed. Guess that's worth a digg.
- profOblivion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Ever hold the door for the "next" person, but there's a bunch of people behind them, and they all refuse to touch the door? Damn I hate that. Mr. Micallef... please advise :).

Oh man, I haven't laughed that hard in aeons. - mikeon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13that is when you let go of the door and walk away.
- marcuschi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13haha "the skip"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15Holding the door open is a great way to make an impression; some people really digg the kindness -- especially some of the girls. Waiting a little longer and holding the door, making eye-contact, and just saying "Hello" or "Have a nice day" has often led me to striking up a conversation and making new friends here and there around campus.
I'm not saying it'll fill up your empty-ass buddy list on AIM. But more often than not, it works 60% of the time, every time. - vhold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7"You know what I really hate, when someone holds the door for you but your like 10-15 feet back so you have to like run to the door or else you'd seem like a jerk for making them hold it forever."
What's really cool is the common etiquette response to somebody holding the door from too far away that is neither running or walking, but a kind of fast more-hurried-looking-then-actually-hurried walking with smiling-halfways-eye-contact and meek "thanks"
The other awkward one is when you think a person behind you is going to get on the same elevator with you so you hold it, but then they turn and go another direction. They often try to acknowledge your politeness with a smile and eye contact but also sometimes try to make their intention to go a different direction known as early as possible so will make sudden turns or speed up to just go around a corner. - LoopyChew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Is there an extension to this video which covers the etiquette of double-doors spaced within about four-six feet of each other?
- zdlr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah Shaun Micallef is one of Australia's finest comics. He stuck to his own style of humour till the end of his show which had and still has a cult like following. I wish he was still making television.
- BarriedaleNick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I work in a school. You learn to let go, Old age approaches.
- spudmanster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Quite funny.
Here in Japan everyone just lets the door slam in each others face. Amazing what different countries societies find polite. - leethefilmer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Haha, so good. I always hold the door open for the next person unless they are like 15 feet away.
- sirstaunch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Shaun Micallef rocks!!!
- soapycub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Milo Kerrigan, Fabio, David McGahan and Roger Explosion are his best characters -- In the most manly way possible, I love Shaun Micallef!

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3the thing that pisses me off the most is when you're holding the door and the person walking through has the gall to even touch the door, it's a slap in the face,
