TSS- The last days watch!

youtube.com — If you are a fan of Techtv's The Screensavers, then this is a must see. Kevin Rose borrowed our camera to use in a segment, he then came over and told us he had a special treat for us. He had filmed the show from a talent perspective.

  • Shorties, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Man I was lucky enough to go to a TSS taping before it was moved to LA then turned into the ***** that is AOTS, (I saw the April 1st episode in I think it was 2004, it was the day google announced Gmail). I had so much fun I wish I could do it again, but I know I never will be able to, it was one of those once in a lifetime things. I kinda wish I had gotten to see it in LA too when Alex was still there... damn I hate you G4!

    Anyway I liked them saying "We'll be looking for a new cohost" Suddenly a small light appeared in the darkness which was alex albrecht. That was probably the only good thing to come from the move. The comination of the future diggnation hosts.

  • UglieJosh, on 10/12/2007, -16/+7Am I the only original Screensavers fan that thinks AoTS is an ok show?? It's not as good as the Screensavers, but it's not the Screensavers anymore, so let it go.

    I'll never understand why people let nostalgia effect their taste so much.

      You say that but you have to understand that AoTS is a totally different show from the TechTV version of The Screensavers, so why would fans of the original TSS have any interest in a totally different show that has a different format and way different content? If the series covers what you are into, and the talent are people you dig, fine, but those who watched TSS liked it for what it was, and AoTS doesn't even try to replace it.

    It really bums me out to see this. I actually felt a little SAD while watching it(***** up, I know). The fact is that The Screen Savers made me into the geek that I am today and I truly, truly miss it. I can't believe that a TV show was so important to me, but it was. Say whatever you want about this post, I loved TSS!
    • Racso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I am sure just out of spite that G4 would never sell anything TSS related to anyone for any amount, but it would be cool if someone with the funds stepped up and were able to twist some arms to get the entire video library off their hands, if they haven't already "misplaced it". Too bad Discovery or Science channel couldn't license old episodes for syndication or something, they air far less worthy things on those channels.

      It'll never happen but it sucks to think that everything ever shot by ZDTV/TechTV crews could possibly exist, archived somewhere out of reach of anyone they mean anything to.
