    Places like DD it might be OK to swipe the CC for such a low amount but for smaller businesses who shouldn't do that. It is rude. A lot of smaller merchants get charged a % of the total + a swipe fee. That swipe fee kills any profits with low amount CC purchases.

I just don't see the point of having cash anymore. What's worse is when you see people still using checks.... Ugh. I asked a co-worker once why she still does it, and she said it's easier to mail in payments for bills and such. I've been paying my bills entirely online for at least 5yrs now and it's all deducted automatically so I can't forget to pay any..... I just don't get it. /end rant.
